Mate you couldn't have got a better bike. That thing hits the sweet spot right between value for money and reliable functionality. You didn't say a lot but i feel I heard a little Roo or Kiwi in there. Thanks for the video, well worth your effort.
I came across this by accident it seems, but what a great ride, I enjoyed every minute of it, very inspiring! You've ridden some of the most beautiful landscapes of Europe I'd say, kudos for choosing the route!
In fairness, he's also using Decathlon panniers. It's a bit of a mix but yeah, the GPS/SatNav thing can't have been too cheap and the Alpine bit in particular would necessitate some quality equipment/clothing I would have thought. I would have liked to have seen more camping/accommodation bits, an equipment/clothing list and a map/route/time breakdown. It's a really nice vid, a great achievement and is definitely inspiring. I want more details though :-).

Super trip, Jimmy, well done! You really see which countries hv great road and bike infrastructure (to the north and west) and which have…well…less so! Your videography is stunning and sights spectacular but you also capture that part of long distance biking that is all about getting food, water and rest! As a Canadian riding across France from Atlantic to the Rhine river 2 years later on own bicycles (also Konas!) i was mightily impressed. Watched all 37.5 minutes 😎
Hats off sir, glad you liked Croatia, that's where I'm from! I want to attempt a 400 km ride soon, I can't imagine how eventful your 4300 km were! Props, and congratulations.

Hey Jimmy I saw this vid couple years ago as I was considering bike camping in Europe. I loved your vibe and how u just bought the bike/gear in Greece then went off. Inspired me and I ended up riding from SF to Portland Oregon, flew to Rome and then to Greece and all the coast north to Trieste. Gave my bike away and flew home with a small pannier and nothing else. Was great. Getting ready for another adventure but this time via a Vespa. Best, Marc
