I do have a really lovely dainty cup that my little boys gave me for Christmas, that has berries and leaves on it. I haven't stopped using it since I got it. It's from Sostrene Grene.
I have many treasured mugs for coffee. I carefully select one each morning. This year my husband chose “cup of cheer” every day. I chose pink candy canes and gingerbread man No I’ve never stuck my brush in it. I only drink coffee during God time early morning. Prevention! 😄
I mentioned in one of your previous videos that I was going to try and do an advent style painting a day in 2025, with a theme to each…. You’ve just given me a new theme…Teacups!! Tea is one of my favourite things. I loved your encouragement of the wobbles and the human touch. Love learning shadows from you too…
Tea is one of my passions. Having run a tea room at my local historical society I appreciate a beautiful teacup. These three are beautiful and I hope to do them justice. With your instruction I feel its very doable. Thank you 💗💗
My favorite mugs are 2 that have designs made from paintings done by my grandgals when they were in 2nd grade (now 9th and 7th graders)…one is a sunset and the other is a cardinal. They make me smile every day. Have I ever dipped my paintbrush in them…more than I should admit!
You are the best teacher! And being a lefty I learn so much from you. It’s good to be able to see. Lettering backwards brilliant!I even noticed you started the teacups right to left. Thank you
Goodness I stumbled across this video and I was like a sign. I have lost the joy of painting because I am struggle and thinking my painting is not perfect. I actually thought I should just stop and go back to just winging it. Paint from something I drew etc. I think you just gave me the sign and inspo to do it.
I am an fan of tea and tea cups! My favorite mug changes every few years. Right now I'm using a large cup with Disney princesses on it that my family bought me at Disney World. haha, not very classy. I have some lovely tea pots and tea cups, too. This painting is so pretty. Thanks for the inspiration!
Yes, I do have a favorite cup! And the other night I had some coffee in it on my desk while I was painting. Unfortunately, I had set my cup next to my water container. I looked up to see that I had just stuck my brush in the coffee rather than the water!😮😊
I bet quite a few others will have had the same experience too... that is nice to hear and its cute if it happens in a way being totaly absorbed in the delightful task of painting...
Yes I do hate it when RUclipsrs leave me hanging with news of something exciting coming up very soon. Oh the jeopardy is unbearable. (I’m also the person who often reads the end of a book to make sure it’s a happy ending🤭) I began painting leaves today - with your Botanical Flowers book by my side. Many wobbly & imperfect leaves later & I think I’m getting there….
Do you have a favourite mug that you simply MUST have your cup of tea in? And do you ever stick your paintbrush in it!
