So I'm assuming that ever since the really brilliant minds at Tableau removed the [Number Of Records] measurement the Create Calculated Field section doesn't work the same? I just keep getting errors about mixing aggregated and non-aggregated fields now with the [Extract]. UPDATE: got the formulas to work by switching to [Extract] and adding an ATTR conversion into the formula... now the final step doesn't work. I get all the Measure Values except for the three calculated fields which show up as zeroes and null in the percentage field. I genuinely don't understand why they have to update things into oblivion, I hope all Tableau employees get the squirts over christmas.
You really need to use table calculation, instead. First, if you want to see MoM by month, you can't do it with this method; secondly, what if you have MoM for a lot of measures, you have to create extra two calculated fields for each measures, it bring along a lot of extra work.
Hi very easy to follow however Im getting expected type string found integer error when I use the formula below IF (MONTH([Date Occured])=[Month Parameter]) THEN [CustomerID] ELSE 0 END
I want to calculate the WoW views of articles and want to see if they are increased/decreased. Can anybody help? For example for 4/1/21 the view is 23 and for 11/1/21 the view is 25 for the same article. Like that i have 10k articles week wise
Is there any way we can do this without using parameter.. in my case I need to show the values comparison with PM/Year as well I need to have multi selector option.. any suggestions around it ?
Hi Nicolas, thanks for the help. I also want to calculate - total number of customers whose revenue has been contracted in comparison to previous month. How can I have aggregated number for all those customers who I had lost/contracted revenue ? Thanks

How did you do the percentage? It doesn't come out with the formula you put into it, and you have done a good job, thank you very much

how do i use the hyper file in the description?
It used to be that Tableau can directly open hyper files and import the data. Doesn't that work any longer?
