Pop out rear window is a winner for me. I can access my fridge with a bike rack on the back and put stuff in the back when reverse parked. I also have the A pillar grab handle. They’re a useful cheap mod.
I also like tne back window! Funny story when I bought the FJ the lady I bought it from didnt know it opened. I opened it and she said " Oh, didn't know that" The grab handle is good idea! I have looked into that mod. I have done a similar video 12 months ago and I me tionedtne window as a favourite
the feature I like the most about the FJ is the fact that is aging very well. in a time where SUV's with the same features cost north of $50k I am happy that I have no car payments and a tremendous toy to drive every day
I keep a hitch mounted bike rack on my FJ year round and the pop open rear glass is a big help. It’s large enough when open to load or unload gear or groceries most of the time.
The rear window access is definitely high on the of great features. I made a similar video around 12 months ago, and I think k it was the first thing that I mentioned. Thanks for watching.
I got the OEM rock sliders and they sit nicely under the FJ. The only downside is that they’re 40kgs all together (for two). It’s worth considering how much you really need them, because as you know, 40kg is quite a bit for the FJs small payload. There might be lighter weight side steps but they’re usually more plastic and not sure they add any value, in fact they get damaged on rough tracks.
Hands down the most capable stock Toyota. I wish I could have mine back, but they suck for space, aerodynamics and visibility outside while driving. And now they seem to be getting more expensive as time goes on not dropping in price so buying another ones out of the question
Tney are definitely capable. Keeping it light is definitely the key to, just like any 4wd. I think the prices have dropped a little but they haven't dropped as much as some other vehicles on the market. Thanks for watching mate!.
i have a 2011, it's been meticulously maintained and rust free. low kilometers and supper fun to drive..........i'll let it go for $75K canadian..........yeah, just kidding. i would never sell my baby.

40kgs, that is a fair bit! I knew tney would be reasonably heavy but not that heavy.
@@OffroadTouringLife yep, that’s the original Toyota fj cruiser ones
Extra sun mirror is so cool
It sure is!
I’ve never seen a car with the extra sun visors👍
They are great, Matt!
