I have arthritis of the wrist,my doctor want to fuse the wrist with a metal plate which would limit all motion,is there anything else that can be done?
I Suffer Midcarpal Instability Since: 13-10-2002 Due To An Accident/Injury At Work In Marks And Spencer Plc Warehouse & Store Services & I Was Made To Work In Pain,Swelling,Injured,For A Further 4 & Half Hours, I Went To A&E After Work With My Mum & Sadly Due To The Swelling They Couldn't Perform Such Shift Tests, Although It Took 4 & Half Months Before I Was Referred To A Hand Surgeon, So I Wish More A&E Doctors & Radiographers Were Taught To Carry Out That Test & It Seems So Simple & Obvious :/ Thanks For Video To Educate Other Doctors,Etc, :)
do you happen to have some # behind this test like the sensitivity/specificity since you mentioned normal adults will have some degree of laxity it seems.
my scaphoid started shifting after I did a lot of jumps on a BMX. It's been 3 years and it still hasn't stopped "shifting". It hurts when I fall on my hand.. sometimes even when I do pushups. Idk what to do. trying to fix this
Brother IAM aslo suffering from scaphoid facture nearly 1 year IAM suffering doctor told to do surgery IAM not interested to do surgery why because my goal is become a Army officers
what about cmc 1 laxity? can cmc 1 laxity cause scaphoid shift? and hypothetically if a patient has lr or lrti operation, can he/she build scaphoid shift?
I've watched dozens of these shift tests in person and online, and this is by far the best explanation and demonstration I've ever seen.
