Those Kojin were really onto something huh? They give us a blessing to breath underwater and it's lasted 7 years now. My class buffs don't even last an expansion! (and then it gets reworked)
Weekly progress report, Lalachievements score: 17,570. Not as productive as last week, but still productive. I did more treasure maps last weekend, and picked up Legends of the Hidden Treasure III and Stay Gold Cenote I. While we were flying around, snek popped and so I also picked up Terrible Ttokrrone. In the meantime, I finished off CUL with custom deliveries, as previously discussed, and so picked up All in Good Taste X and Mastering the Hand VI. FSH is now the only crafter/gatherer I have left to level to cap. I also finished pushing DRG and RPR to level cap, picking up Strong Lance Arm X and Perchance to Dream III. This then allowed me to wrap up the melee role quests, picking up Dreams Woven Anew. And I got enough Poetics to pick up Perfect: Madervillous Greatsword. That's it for achievements gained, but I did have another milestone. I finished the last large-scale tradecraft levequest today, so my progress on unique tradecraft leve completion is going to be properly in gear soon.
Hey Cider! This might be sappy, but your videos have been something I look forward to every week. I quit my Job to start my own business and things have been crazy, stressful, yet hopeful. Every Friday, the drive home after closing makes me feel better hearing about your grind as well. Keep at it brother!
honestly its fun how while seeing you advance so far (and you made me motivated for the ff14 achivement hunt) getting on this year from 7980 achivements points into 12625 XD which made me realise the big jumped i managed to do
Wow, you had a VERY productive week. I've still been focusing on various craft X and gather X achievements. When 7.1 drops Tuesday I look forward to getting the various story achievements that will be easy to grab.
I think it would be absolutely hilarious if the last achievements Cider ever got were the Dragoon ones. Since he has so hard committed to the Lancer bit he apparently is locked out of using it in PvP. I respect the dedication, even if it's painful to watch him throw away relic materials every time.
He doesn’t have most of the related achievements on the lodestone, so he has indeed committed. And no I don’t know the story either. XD (Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s got at least some mats on a retainer or maybe an alt somewhere when possible. So much work otherwise…)
Damn, Recipe for Disaster is alot easier than i remember. Gtz on barrows gloves! All seriousness love the videos, only on free trial so not familiar with 90% of the videos but learnt alot just from you explaining stuff!
My endgame was to bring my DoW/DoM/DoL/DoH (and BLU) classes to the patch's top level (currently 100). By doing so, I've done all the Beast Tribe's quests, Custom Deliveries, Manderville relics, and Island Sanctuary, just to name a few. The goalpost is constantly moving and keeps my sub active for months on end and find new ways to keep playing. These have been playing as I've played so this channel keeps me going 😊
Your talk of " A clear's a clear " will always be my philosophy with content in this game. I just wanna clear, I don't really care about the numbers. As long as the group is consistent with mechanics and DPS isn't so bad that its denying a clear, I am fine. I have been losing interest in high end because of the element of gathering people, all being on a schedule, and dealing with one or two people that really slows the progress down.
Oh, and I finally finished Dawntrail on my own Lala and actually cleared AAC Lightheavyweight M1. I was scared it'd be brutal since I didn't do Pandemonium, but Black Cat was really fun to fight against and the story was cool, a battle arena! ^_^ Can't wait for 7.1 to drop and get myself murdered by Prische in Echoes of Vana'diel. XD
I was wondering where you were at in the raids. It was a lot of fun watching you prog them. M4S is good fun, I would definitely say it's worth getting back into raiding for it.
As someone who completed all the "I made that" achievements already, your inventory will thank you if you batch craft by doing all crafters 1-5, then 5-10 and so on and so forth. Your inventory will thank you! ❤
Cleaning the crafting log for GSM, getting the Arkasodara tribe quests while leveling SGE to 90 here and scamming noobs out of selling those crafted pieces; not so much around
Yo, wait until 7.1 hits if you're considering clearing your craft/Gather logs, they're finally adding a completed/not completed recipes filter, which should make the process far smoother :)
"No one would ever think to check Coeurl!" It's true. People selling mats on Coeurl hate money. As a Couerl native myself, it works out in my favor much of the time, but still.
Maybe by the time you're ready to tackle ultimates i'll have progessed through the MSQ enough to join in! Though I am quite stupid and might require guidance
8:31 i recently started ffxiv and went on a nice lovely 2 week binge playing nothing else. my first game back on dead by daylight i constantly held right click whenever i moved my camera as survivour. dbd is a game i have 1.5k hours in and i forgot how to play it bc of ffxiv 🤣
This is what I was saying during Endwalker. Give it an expansion or two and people will warm up to the Manderville relics because they’ll appreciate a Poetics dump.
Players were upset during release because a Poetics dump isn't exciting content to fill time during patches. Completionists were happy because it was quick and to-the-point content that allowed you progress simply by joining Hunt Trains to knock out your Hunt Achievements simultaneously.
Yup, It was clear to me that it was a forward thinking system designed to give a huge poetics dump in the future. while also giving people incentive to do Hildibrand. Didnt stop it from sucking when it was present tho.
A lot of people like to slap 1 label of "casual, midcore or hardcore" onto themselves where in reality there's multiple aspects to how a person plays which can demand different labels. For example, you can be a player who has a casual level of availability, like you can only play for a few hours a week, but you may have a hardcore mindset, where you want to do difficult, intense content. Or you could have a player who can commit many hours a week - a hardcore schedule - but prefers to do chill content - a casual mindset.

I love when Cider speaks about "I love to grind a lot" meanwhile whenever he streams he's standing in Limsa or his house for 3-4 hours doing absolutely nothing but talking to the chat. I don't mind as that's not for me and i'll simply won't tune in for that, but just find that kinda funny, but you could easily go into PF for it, plenty of fresh progs to go around, but the longer you wait, the harder fresh progs will be to find for older ultimates, at some point that pool will dry up unfortunate, granted plenty of helpers to go around and not neccessarily hard carry you, but can give you pointers.
Ultimates are hard, yes. But they are mostly a matter of endurance, not skill. It's having it in you to go again and again and again until everyone can pull the dance perfectly. Honestly achievement hunting takes more endurance than Ultimates.

Great idea for a series, here's a quick tip to help you achieve your goal in this game: Get a bot, since no sane human being would grind the vast majority of the achievements in this game, and top players have been botting for literally 10 years straight without even a hint of an incoming ban, you'll thank me later.
