The political costs for the war began to add up for the Nixon Administration, and the South Vietnamese were now on their own. The American troops were home, but there was little celebration. The scars of the war would linger in American culture for decades to come.
The history of U.S. involvement in Vietnam is told in this LionHeart FilmWorks original 7-part documentary series featuring personal stories from veterans and detailing the battles, strategy, and politics of a war that consumed multiple U.S. Presidents.
Produced during the 50th anniversary of the War - we are presenting our series from start-to-finish -- bringing to life with vivid recreations, sound and editing -- For education, entertainment, enlightenment and inspiration. We hope you enjoy and even learn something. Never forget!

My brother John was a 25 year old medic who served during the Vietnam war. Sadly, he was brought home in a body bag because of it. I’ll never forget the absolute horror and sadness on my parents faces. 💔

As a veteran myself it’s painful to hear things like this. May he rest in peace and God bless you and your family.

At the 24 minute portion she was absolutely right. Like the oppressive regime the Vietnam became after the communist victory leading over two million to flee the country, the boat people, Afghanistan is even more of a mess with over %90 of the country's people living in absolute poverty and absolute horrid repression of women.

Like most Americans of the Vietnam generation, I wish I had never heard of the place. As it is, I would never enter a Vietnamese restaurant, either in the US or elsewhere.

Viet Nam is a great country with amazing people and food. They've also done quite well in the US.

The primary reason why Nixon did not help South Viet-Nam was due to Watergate.
