i will with the grace of god be 50 next year, i heard the music of Elvis as a child and fell in love with him his amazing songbook. As you get older of course you hear different styles of music and change preferences but 40 years later elvis is still with me, i love and respect his music more than ever, especially on this spiritual level, rip, you are truly immortal
I do wonder sometimes why Elvis changed some of the words of the song. Did he change the words because of he was suffering while alive on earth now? The line about the night is as black as the sea is supposed to be the night is as fair as the day in the 1000 year rein of Jesus ( Yeshua ).

I still have blood cancer ( multiple myeloma) this is still one of my favorite songs. For now cancer is in remission

Nice except the lyrics at the end are wrong. It’s not “my darling no trouble”...it’s “my lord and no trouble”
