      It's not that companies pass it off to us. They have no choice. Prices are set by supply and demand. Higher wages equals higher demand. Higher demand on the same supply line equals higher prices. That's about as basic economics as you can get. People can't seem to understand this. I've heard people saying that was big corporation propaganda. We live in a very uneducated society.

    • @bane3991
      @bane3991 8 месяцев назад +2

      @SaveManWoman If wages get propped up past supply and demand, prices will rise to offset it. So increasing wages only devalues the money supply since everything else will get more expensive. This is because resources don't magically increase simply by increasing wages. So you'll never reach your goal of a "living wage" because the resources literally don't exist. That's like saying if we got a million an hour we can all live in mansions with 2024 BMW cars. Butlers. We would all have our own private jets. Hundreds of acres of land. Etc. This wouldn't happen because we don't have 350 million mansions and private jets. Boosting everyone's wages to that tomorrow wouldn't magically make them appear.

    MacDonald's made huge profits up 12% in this quarter alone. CEO gets 10 million. Inflation has nothing to do with higher prices...corporate greed does.

    • @bane3991
      @bane3991 10 месяцев назад

      Prices are set by supply and demand. Not greed. Of course he will get additional money, inflation rates are through the roof. Profits are up across the board. Americans go further into debt, thus increasing profits even more for these people because they're spending more not saving.
      The reason prices aren't determined by greed is because of supply and demand which I will explain to you. Prices need to be in balance. This actually maximizes profits. The producer has X amount of supply. They need to sell off all that supply in order to maximize profits. If they sell for too much money, they sell less supply which drives down profits because their supply isn't being sold to its maximum potential. They'll have excess left over just going to waste. That's the reason mcdonalds meals are 18 dollars and not 100 dollars. It isn't because businesses want to do good by us and charge us cheaper rates, it's because of supply and demand.

    • @AndreasU-ur5cq
      @AndreasU-ur5cq 8 месяцев назад

      @bane3991 You're crazy to not think places like McDonald's doesn't take advantage of inflation for more money.

    • @bane3991
      @bane3991 8 месяцев назад

      @AndreasU-ur5cq If they could maximize their revenue by increasing prices they would have done that decades ago when they first opened. They can't increase their prices past the point of supply and demand without it costing them money. Why would a business owner purposely cause themselves to make less money for no reason?

    • @AndreasU-ur5cq
      @AndreasU-ur5cq 8 месяцев назад

      @bane3991 How do you know that they haven't at a snails pace? At this point in society McDonald's controlls its own food source they dont have to buy from other sources for their products. They are literally making full profit off their company. The type of inflation issue that sponed during this administration currently sky rocketed at never seen before. So yes inflation has happened at all sorts of periods of times. Prove that they haven't. It's like saying Kellogs doesn't lie that their pop tarts has real strawberry flavoring when it doesn't it's all fake. Companies lie all the time. If you really think that companies don't take advantage when theirs an opening to make more money. That would be like believing Casino's don't have a wide margin over the players .

    • @jonathanguzman1073
      @jonathanguzman1073 8 месяцев назад

      @@bane3991The fact that you think they would make less money if they weren't greedy is what gets me. They would indeed and everyone already knows supply and demand, that's basic knowledge. McDonald's has always been greedy since they stop making burgers actually fulfilling due to the fact some people complain it was to much , and diminish their health. That's when they made it smaller, and figure they could get away with it which they have been doing for years. I go to Burger King and see a big difference on consumption for customers.

Just ONE store, not nationwide McD stores. Connecticut minimum wage increased by 69 cents in 2024. NOT $20/hr like California. Different states and wages. I blacklisted this restaurant decades ago when they started adding nasty salts to their meat and bread. They're not the worse offender though. Some of the chemicals Taco Bell puts in their food should be outlawed IMO Thanks to the wonderful people at the FDA though, you can die with a good taste in your mouth, courtesy of flavor enhancers.
