Hey I wanted to ask, does agility affect the rate at which you get ankle broken? I noticed you didn't cover it in your agility video, and since there's no ankle braces badge this year I was wondering if it's tied to agility as I have 99 perim on my build (but only 85 agility) and get broken too often for my liking
I'm noticing 85 is a sweet spot for a lot of attributes. Many of your tests mention a sweet spot around 82, 84, or 86. 85 agility feels noticeably better than 83. 85 strength feels like a sweet spot and gets you gold immovable. 85 steal for gold interceptor which tests show is where interceptor first starts working. 86 ball handle. 84 block. 85 layup. 87 dunk. There's a clear pattern there
That's always been the case with 2K. I learned it in like 2K17, when 86 ball handle or speed with ball unlocked speed boost. And shooting with 85+ 3pt has been much easier than 84 for years. It makes sense to me Investing 85/86 says you are specializing in the skill
@@theyreruiningusa I always check for the closest relevant badges at the level I’m thinking of going to. You don’t want a silver badge when you could have gold for one more point
Can you Factor in wingspan because I have a 6’10 - 7’3 ws and on real player % I feel like with a 96 close and 93 post control he still misses wayyyy to many off a drop step
Can show why if you’re below 6’6 why you can’t get the same shots as the people who are that tall? I played with 7’0 with 84 close shot and relatively easy to time those shots to go in but if I’m on a 6’4 guards can make miss just by standing there. They have low interior as well.
@supamalleo64 I have 84 close-shot center that makes under-the-basket lays at a huge clip but that same rating dropped significantly below 6'6. Any contact plays a huge role in me missing at lower heights. I get the height advantage but three shouldn't be almost blocking it and it still goes without any problem.
This is one test where having the badge matters, i have a build with silver paint prodigy and he CONSTANTLY misses open standing layups and my build with gold makes contested horse shit and very rarely misses open (all using real player %)
Hey Tutes I know it’s random, but can you do me a favor? Everyone has been complaining about driving dunks in the game, a lot of people are saying they aren’t getting dunks as often as they should, and I’m curious to know if that is a result of dunk tendencies if it’s a real thing, my friend told me just to go to the career and do as many dunked as I can, and my tendencies will go up and I would do more dunks online
I haven't tested it this year but from the past years, "Tendencies" will only work when your player is controlled by the AI. I'll see what I can do if I can test it this year. Thanks for the recommendation!
The contact dunk meter is wayyy different than last year, as a rim runner I hate this, however it does make it more viable for defenses to cooperate and get the stop so I think it’s a good thing, what people fail to realize is that strength and vertical are way more important to dunks than ever, I have a 99 dunk build with no strength and I get more dunks on my 93 dunk 93 strength build
@@TheGr8Schaef yeah I built two of the same characters. Basically, I’ve noticed that they have very similar attributes. The only difference is the new one that I built has better ball handling but the downside I noticed that the new character he seemed a lot slower he wouldn’t go out for dunk me and my friends are playing at the park but when I switch to the other character with the same rebounding with the same speed with the same dunk, he was a lot more explosive, but I did play more career games with him so it might be true with the tendency because if you look at some of the creative players like Jaylyn Brown, he has a 80+ driving dunk, but his dunking tendencies are zero
@@Teagill tendencies only apply to simulated gameplay it has nothing to do with you using your character online or even offline, only when you sim games, that will determine what he does for his simulated stats. But also have you most likely do not have the same level of badges on the new guy, once those go up he will feel just as explosive
86 looks like the sweet spot I'd say, that gives you Gold Float game, and if you want Gold Hook Shot specialist for some reason you can bump it to 87 instead.
I have 81 close shot, only because it's the minimum for my HOF shooting badges. I rarely miss them, so I don't see the point of a higher rating...unless you want to force contested standing layups after grabbing a board
Please take a test to know at what level of badge you have to have postlockdown and paint patroller to stop the typical 99 close shot, 99 post control, 99 standing dunk... I think a lot of people will thank you because this year you can't play the courts 1vs1 because of the post scorer
Once I get my cap breakers I'm getting my 7'2 stretch a 99 close shot. Has 85 post, 90 standing, 80 layup, and 73 dunk already with 85 three and 90 middy😂😂😂.
A lot of people missing close shots with people just standing there and no hands up. Be a better test showing that and also if driving layup effects. I noticed if my layup is say 80 and close 84 I make more than if 65 layup with 92 close shot

I sthink it coincides with the player ratings in the default roster. For a lot of the key rating categories, very few players have a 90+ rating

I’ve heard that driving layup can determine a standing close shot. As in it’s like a thing of weighted averages. Please check if it’s true.
Close shot and driving layup are combined to determine your draw foul rating, so maybe there is more correlation than that
They use a weighted average of the higher between close shot and driving layup for floaters
Silver paint prodigy is pretty good, it’s not great but I would say it definitely works

It also gets a boost having good post control from post poet I have it in gold with gold paint prodigy it goes great together
Close shot is more important this year than it was last year , my opinion before watching the video, based off gameplay experience
