Idea: Have someone make you a small "wall", say 2x2 ft, you can use to test things with sticky tape. It could be double-sided with different paint types, for example, and the drywall panels can be easily replaced when they get worn out.

We have one of those battery operated light switches on the inside of a tall cabinet door. The batteries died a while ago and I really noticed how much I depended on it. The cabinet is in the dining room, which we rarely use, and the overhead light switch is on the other side of the room so it was very convenient to be able to get what I needed from the cabinet. That disco ball light looks like something my 19 year old daughter would love! I need to go find that for her. As they get older, it's more difficult to find little things they like, to give them for no real reason.

Here's a tip I used to work at a Big Lots! and if you have one near you go and check their dumpster. So much good stuff is just thrown away. Employees are supposed to destroy the items before throwing them in the trash but few ever take the time. Blankets, comforters, bed sheets that have been opened and returned because of the wrong size can't be resold and are just thrown away. Any opened electronic items are also thrown away. The laws in most states consider items in the trash free for the taking as long as the dumpster isn't locked. We rarely locked ours because it was just a hassle. Try it you'll be glad you did.

There are two reasons for those extra-size boxes. It reduces theft because the bigger box is harder to slip under your coat. And companies that make boxes have standard sizes; they could make a custom size box but for "cheap product" manufacturers it's not worth it. The empty box in the tape package was to fill out the empty space inside.

This was the spigot from which I received water for the house from the city. There was a heavy rubber hose that had a pinhole leak. Very minimal. I tried the Flex Tape for a quick fix. It was good for maybe a day, but the pressure eventually won, and the water continued to seep out. If there was no pressure, I do feel that the tape would have help up. Needless to say, I had the old heavy duty rubber hose removed and replaced with copper pipe.

If someone wants to make a fur roller and outdo all of the others, the roller would need to be able to easily pick up imbedded hair. Some dogs have the kind of hair that falls out, doesn't become a big clump or tiny hair that can be wiped off, and somehow it gets weaved into the cloth furniture, inside shoes, clothes and any other fabric. It's too much work to have to constantly pick out every strand of hair, but I'd have to 'cause I wasn't living in dog hair, and none of the rollers work.

Sweet. I went to big lots recently for the 1st time in a while cuz I had a 20% off my order coupon that was going to expire & was so disappointed. Prices increased quite a bit & the stuff I had hoped to get wasn't in stock. Found a few useful things but not much. Bummer.

You can easily get a mouse that’s more ergonomic and lights up, fully customizable. There’s a huge market for that in the gaming world.
But not for $5. That thing looked to me like you get what you pay for.

They work great for placing in areas not normally wired. Closets and under counters are good places for these lights.

    The fur test is funny,
How often will you have huge chunks like that on your furniture??
IT may be more effective with cats rather than dogs, but I would like to see a true to life evaluation.
    As for the Alien Shield,
I would like to see a longer use time with hot and cold conditions.
Air mattresses are prone to cuts and tears so if that stuff can repair them and hold under pressure and weather, you have a winner.
I can't see anyone using the tape for really heavy items yes I know it's a strength demo.:)
I think a bucket with a crack in the bottom or sides is a more likely scenario than a hole but
if you tape the hole inside and out you would probably have less of a bulge..
What I don't know is if there are any similar products available and if they are cheaper or better.
    Cheers,
    Rik Spector

There are many versions of those wall switch-look lights. They all share the same problem: when it is dark and you need light, you do not usually need it blasted AT your face. You need it shining away from you. These switch likes are like a ligtmht source designed by someone who can't see.

The best pair hair cleaner I ever used was made by Pledge, called Fabric Sweeper. They're supposed to be disposable, when it's full you throw the whole thing away, but I figured out how to remove one roller to empty it and put the roller back. I think they were $6 each.

I have 7 of the light switches from big lots, have had them for 4 years now. I only have them put up in strategic locations in my house incase of a power outage. That's the whole reason I purchased them. I think they are quite bright, and I'm very happy with them! Although, here in California, I paid more for them. 🤷‍♀️

that light you can get at dollar tree for $1.25. Comes with batteries and the sticky things are inside packed away where the batteries are. Those things are great for under the kitchen sink or in a dark closet. Somewhere we’re not much light gets too but you need to see.

My parents had that Litezall (looks like a standard light switch). I have 2 other version of that idea. One is them wide V-shape light switch you push up or down for Off/On. The other I have is actually a small turning knob in the middle which works as a dimmer type of light.

There are loads of these LED light switches, you should check out the one you can find with the flashlights at Walmart, it uses a knob so you can dial up the brightness.
I believe Harbor freight has had both variants at different times.

Hey james. Maybe you could mount a vertical wooden plank on a small wooden base, so you wouldn't need to destroy the paint on your walls. I bet some shelves would do the job just fine, too. If you used one to simulate a narrow wall and a piece of another to make a base for it.

I picked up several of those AAA battery light switches at Harbor Freight a few years ago and stuck them under cabinets in the kitchen and one of the closets that didn't have a light in it. They work great until your great niece shows up, leaves it on during a visit and you only find out about it a week later when you need it and the batteries have died.
I wound up adding an extra 3M Command strip to each of them to help secure them to the walls, though.
As an epileptic, that strobe ball's gonna' be a hard pass from me. =)
