    @0:21: Contrary to your statement, alkaline solutions are generally bad at dissolving mineral deposits. Acids are much better at dissolving mineral deposits, especially for minerals common in household water supplies (e.g., calcium carbonate, calcium sulphate/ sulfate, magnesium carbonate--all of which are alkaline).

      You're right, I did mention using acids later on for mineral deposits. Thanks for pointing out my mistake in the beginning.
