Not an Invicta fan myself but I was looking for an interesting dive watch for a friend for b-day gift. Stumbled on this and saw the two reviews on youtube...this being one of the two. Was impressed enough to buy it and the price was under a 100 bucks. Well the watch is quite nice for the money! Really impressed with both the quality of workmanship and Seiko movement. Love the see thru back and the yellow color on the balance wheel. Very nice. Person who received the gift was very happy!
hi there ,great review btw, thank you. I wanted to inform you about the fact that the NH35 is also known as the 4R36. The work horse movement in all the Seiko 5's and the Seiko Turtle. They are the exact same movement, only when sold to other watch producers, it's labeled NH35 also NH36 , ya know like 4R36. Anyway its a fantastic very acurate for the money, bang for the buck movement. Thanks again!
I love the new Gen II models, and I really appreciate that you did a thorough side by side comparison. I've often wondered just exactly the difference between the original, and it's predecessor. It doesn't get any clearer than that. My only dislike about the model is the 22mm wide band that they use. I just feel like it's a little disproportionate to the case size. In my opinion I would prefer it to have at least a 24mm to balance a smoother transition from bracelet to case. All that being said, it's not enough to deter me from purchasing one eventually. MOF this video has been extremely helpful in making that decision for me. Great presentation, and thanks for sharing.....
Good review. I've had my 20199 for a couple months now. No trouble and pretty accurate. Within 5 seconds a day. You can get better watches, but not at this price. I'd buy it again for sure.
I'm an invicta fan i have 6 of them so far .. I love the look of the watch but a little hestating bcz of the elevated basel .. great video though great presentation keep it up and thanks for you efforts.
Love the grand diver I. I have the 18160 teal dial, one of my all time favorite watches. The all polished bracelet gives it some elegant bling and the teal color is so beautiful, timeless beauty at the risk of a pun. I have the purple one also. Not sure about these GEN II. I haven't been able to pull the trigger, the thickness is one thing, but the giant cartoonish markers are a bit offputting, too obtrusive, not too elegant. The fact that the hands have to be so short is a downside. Its a bit tacky for me, compared with the 18160 for example, which is near perfect for a sub $200 watch.
Thank you for one nice review. I love thick and sturdy watches. What is the thickness in mm? and how do you think pvd coating will stand against wearing?
The divers have always been my favorite model in the company. grand diver and Prodiver. these aren't that big to me and I have about a 7.75 wrist. I prefer watches in the 45 to 50mm in diameter. nice review.
Great Video Review.. Thanks for sharing. Goota Love the Pro and Grand Divers quality from Invicta. I own six Seiko's Invicta seems to me to be just a little Better Made."Tougher.".
wow i have the original grand diver and my only complaints was the scallop bezel. the pro diver feels cheap in comparison with hollow end links and stamped.
Richard Huffman You can find them at Invicta retail stores, Invictastores.com, JCPenney stores, Amazon, Evine.com, Precision Time, and a variety of other jewelry stores and watch shops. They go on sale frequently so keep your eyes open.
I own a first generation GD and its probably the better out the 3 generations. Of course, there are a few things I don't like about them like the lume is god awful in low light no divers extension on a"so-called dive watch" And the bezel sounds like a tin can. But I do like the movement, heft, and value.
the only grand diver GENERATION 2 review on RUclips! 😨😱😱😱😱great review!!! thanks

great watch, the nh35a movement is used in the seiko monster and other seiko watches, this says it all, excellent review!
Don't forget to talk about how good/bad the lume is with video of it if possible

Hidden gems in these fine watches

Great review! Very comprehensive.
Great video!!! So sad that this watch is hard to get in The Netherlands.
I'll stay with the 3044 model. Nice review.
