Went to school with him from 6th grade all the way through high school. Listening to this man (boy at the time) singing Boyz II Men and Jodeci in the back of a school bus on the way to a football game and sounding same as he does now. Literal chills even as a 12-13 year old listening to him. And he’s just as genuine and down to earth as he comes off. Best dude ever.
Chris is that rare artist that everyone loves, not just country fans. He cuts through musical and societal boundaries. When you hear greatness you just feel it…
Have you guys checked out him doing “ It’s a man’s world” ? He’s from Kentucky. He was an all season varsity athlete and I believe he was valedictorian or salutatorian of his high school class. He went to Vanderbilt university to study engineering and then dropped out to pursue music. He’s got it all, brains, athleticism, musically gifted. He has been blessed for sure.
It's a man's world was not a planned performance, he was in the audience and invited on stage by the band that was actually performing and he was amazing
Cold or sometimes I cry are his best songs. I don't even like country, but I look at him as a blues artist. He is literally one of the best voices I've ever heard
@kraykray4446 yes. Definitely blues. I grew up with an appreciation of quite a few different styles of music. And this is one of them. He reminds me of BB King in a way.
If you have not seen him in concert, you are 100% missing out. He is unbelievable and watching him perform live with his wife and band is amazing! So many great songs! Check out “Fire Away” and all the rest!
Chris Stapleton is one of my favorites and I listen to alot of different genres of music. The first time I heard him I couldn't get enough. I could listen to him all day. When I hear something as spectacular as him his voice and guitar playing I get tingles. That tells me how spectacular and such a great talented musician he is.
Bro seen him live during his most recent tour he did a solo on the guitar for like 10 full minutes and the applause he got after was deafening. it was insane
You guys hearing Chris Stapleton for the first time made my heart smile. This was pure joy for me. Hearing Chris do what he does and watching you guys do what I do…. Priceless.
Chris Stapleton is incredible in concert. I am 60 and have seen many bands and artists in concert, but his performance was the best I have ever seen. Don't stop listening to him! Suggestions: 'Cold', 'Death Row', and 'Broken Halos', just to name a few...He crosses all genres with his powerhouse voice and thought-provoking lyrics.
I saw Chris in Nashville on New Years Eve and it was amazing! I had constant chill bumps. His wife sang with him and she had a great voice too. Such a sensual couple.
This performance right here is legendary. This performance will be archived as one of the all time great performances. As far as Chris Stapleton himself goes, welcome to the rabbit hole.
It literally makes zero sense how Chris is THIS GOOD!!! Check out Sometimes I Cry, live at the Bing lounge, or, Cold, or his cover of James Brown’s It’s a man’s world! The list is ENDLESS
This is one of my favorite songs of all time. Just when you think it’s over…oh hell no….he makes that guitar sing! If you can only afford one concert this year, see this man! With his wife harmonizing with him on a lot of songs, it was amazing! So much soul and blues!! Oh, and he changes guitars about 7 times in 2 hours.
Sometimes I cry and it's a mans world the live versions are great, Cold is another great one also Fire Away. Chris Stapleton is listed as a country artist but he is really so much more and has a soulful sound, his music is a genre of it's own. You can't go wrong with any of his music and his live performances are better than his recorded. Great reaction guys !
@@woofolliesmydog8628after seeing the video, I can't hear that song without crying. My nephew's fiance could have been the woman in the video. Heart breaking. 😢
I just saw him in Atlanta last Saturday November 12th. He blew me away!! I’m not a big country fan, but Chris Stapleton is in his own genre. One of the best concerts I have ever seen, and I have been to many, many in my life!
Chris may be the best of all time. He is a combination of everything good about music. My man has so much talent. Masterpiece! Thank y’all for reacting.
He's been known mostly as a song writer until the last few years. I LOVE HIS VOICE, especially when he sings with his wife. ALSO Please check out his performance with H.E.R. link below.
🎸💯 Chris Stapleton's bluesy, gritty, soulful voice & crazy guitar skills do it for me‼🔥 He can't be classified as just a country singer. He's a legend IN OUR TIME‼Y'all should check out a Jompson Brothers video where they perform "Barely Alive". Chris used to be the front man for that Southern Rock group and KILLS that song‼My very favorite of his is "Cold" for which he won both CMA and Grammy awards‼☮ ❤ 🎶
Jompson Brothers don't cover Barely Alive. As the lead singer and basically leader of the band it was their song first, in a similar way Midnight Train To Memphis was the Steeldrivers song first because he was the lead singer of them. If anything, Chris's live version is actually the cover of the Jompson Brothers version. An analogy is you have a Beatles song, While My Guitar Gently Weeps for instance. It was written by George Harrison, who was a member of the band and sung the song while a member of the band. It is however a Beatles song and not a cover version of a George Harrison song.
That was almost a religious experience. Best male voice I’ve heard in over 20 years. I thought real music died with the 20th Century, I was wrong. I’d pay any amount of money to hear Chris Stapleton live.
It's said that music is the universal language, which brings all of us who love it together. You don't have to be black to have soul, you don't have to be white to have country in your heart. Love your reaction!
I’ve seen Chris in concert twice! One of the times, the outside amphitheater flooded and all turned to mud, but all thousands of us stayed for him!! Most amazing artist! HIGHLY recommend going to a concert of his! All his songs are 🔥🔥
Just saw him at Hershey Park in PA. Best live performance I've ever seen...and I've seen a bunch. I'm not a big country fan, but Chris is absolutely amazing. My favorite artist right now....followed closely by The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Yep, been into weird psychedelic music my whole life. This is how utterly amazing Chris Stapleton is. Truly one of a kind.
I saw him when he was with Steel Drivers and Jompson Brothers. NO MATTER what Chris sings, he tears it UP. Talking about his guitar playing, off the charts good!
Been watching your chis stapleton reactions all week on my lunch break. I LOVE seeing people appreciate his voice and talent that usually wouldn't listen to "country" music. Thanks guys!
It's so great that there are these exceptional artists. He's a great man, awesome ❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏And together with his wife something of beautiful, absolutely listen!!!! 💖👍The band is of course also great 👍
That was fricking awesome! I do not recall hearing about this guy. Thanks for reacting to this. I don't think I would have found out about it if you hadn't. And i have been around a few blues enthusiasts and artists. Oddly, none of those acquaintances mentioned this artist. This song at least is on fricking fire. How could they not like this? or mention Chris Stapleton? I need to investigate my blues friends. 😉

Went to his concert last year when he rolled through Albuquerque. Can 100% confirm he sounds amamammaazing live. THEE best live concert I’ve ever been to.

Chris Stapelton has many songs where he just reaches out and touches your Soul... you like this you should check out The Jompson Brothers. The track Inside Your Head is probably my favorite off that album, but honestly, anything this man touches turns to gold in my opinion. He sings lead vocals for them too. This man was born to sing the blues.
Check out Chris Stapleton's performance of "What Are You Listening To?" God, this guy's one of the only artists ever who sounds even better live. So talented.
