I agree it's great that these bands are being appreciated and the instruments in their own right! Real music and not something generated on a computer! There's loads of great songs out there but with a band you listen beyond just the song, you pay attention to every instrument that makes up that song and how powerful the emotions you feel are. I said to my son's growing up to like a song simply because of it. No matter the genre and singer/band, just always be open cause you'll miss out on some great tunes that have and are standing the test of time which this is doing for these guys! Their reaction to Gary Moore solo had Tag crying! The guitar is a mesmerising piece of equipment!
Being 60 years old, and having grown up listening to Clapton, it tickles me to no end to watch you discover Eric for the first time. Your video is hands-down my favorite Reaction clip…OF ALL TIME. Bravo!
BB King called Eric his son. They had incredible love for each other. Eric along with other English guitarists reintroduced the world to the best old blues players from the south and gave them the long earned credit due them.
B.B.King loved the playing of Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac. Before they stopped being a British Blues band and became a middle of the road American sing-a- long band.

Eric Clapton is a wizard. Given the nickname "slowhands" his bluesy style is almost second to none. He, Hendrix, Jeff beck, Jimmy page and Stevie Ray Vaughn are consider by many as the greatest guitar players of all time.
Eric was given the nickname Slowhand Clap...ton because that is what he got from the audience in his early days when he took so long to tune his guitar.
Some of the greatest blues music ever performed has come from Eric Clapton over his very long career. He is a stunning guitarist and a soulful singer. The combination of both makes for some truly moving experiences. It is no wonder he is considered a blues great. As a long time blues vocalist myself, its lovely to see young guys like you enjoying some of my era's musicians.
He will never be Stevie Ray Vaughan. Eric didn’t want to go on stage after Stevie bc he knew he couldn’t follow such brilliance. The last night of Stevie’s life he jammed on stage with Eric, BB King, Albert King, more and Stevie stole the stage
I've seen Clapton in concert twice. Chills both times! He makes that guitar talk, cry, and moan. He is also one of the most underrated singers of his generation. He sings with emotion.
A lot of guitarists learned their skills by listening to BB King and Muddy Waters. Those old blues guitarists are the connective tissue for so many great guitarists over the last 60 years. As for another great Clapton performance, please watch him play "Layla" live at MSG in 1999.
So many Blues artists such as Muddy Waters from the United States played for a long time in Birmingham England. Steve Winwood was a session musician for many of them. They influenced so many British artists in the 1960s and 1970s.
Eric Clapton is such a brilliant guitarist! I’m so happy these guys finally got to see him perform. He has an impressive history with a few bands, Derek and the Dominoes, Cream, Yardbirds to name a few. He never disappoints.
I love these guys, I'm 57 years old and so great to see these guys reactions to songs of my era, I'm a funk n soul man but appreciate good music, Eric is a legend
This is a massive tribute to Muddy, BB, and all the OG American blues artists. Their reach is so far and wide in the rock music of the '60's and '70's, even to British artists. You can hear blues influence in great bands like Jimi Hendrix and the Experience, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Big Brother and the Holding Company(with Janis Joplin), Elvis Presely and SO many more! Props to the OG's and two you guys for giving it a listen!
Does my soul great to see this. Please treat yourselves to more of Clapton. He's been around for a long time guys. Rock, jazz blues ect. Feed your souls ✨️ ♥️
The performance of Layla from the same concert is a must! Incredible musician, can thank my dad for bringing me up on Clapton that I still go back and listen to his songs very often
Many believe that the song While My Guitar Gently Weeps is one of the finest pieces of rock music written and played...The guitar comes to life. Eric Clapton is amazing...and varied styles of performance
Yes I agree with you about the quality of While my guitar gently weeps, a great song written by George Harrison, who invited Eric to play a guitar part for the recording.
Good call guys. One of his many great performances. I’m 60 so I’ve been listening to him a very long time. He can make that guitar cry. He’s one of the last of truly great Blues Man Ty Guys

Love these reaction videos. Grew up in a guitar house, exposed to my parents’ music of the 50-60s, my grandparents music before that, and me 70s-90s. Big bands and calypso, Roy Orbison & Chet Atkins, Doo Wop & the Supremes, The Police & Guns & Roses with Hip hop & R&B, I was blessed to be exposed to such a large range of music. Hands down the best guitarist with he largest range of musicality and skill, self taught on so many instruments, was Prince. Remains the best live show I’ve ever seen. Stevie Ray Vaughan is the GOAT always. Eric Clapton never wanted to play after him because he knew Stevie was so much better. They battled on stage the last night of Stevie’s‘s life and Stevie beat everyone. RIP❤️🩹 SRV🎸
Mr. "Slow hand" himself, (one of his nicknames). Well worth it to invest your time checking out more of his catalog as part of a band/s, and a solo artist. Amazing artist in every sense of the word.
It is uncanny, but Eric Clapton is one of a few musicians that I have ever listened to that has never sung or played a song I didn't like. I must have gone through over a hundred songs of his over the last 40 years. It is impossible for him to not sound terrific. And there is always something different and unique about every one. I am glad you reacted to this solo. I hadn't seen it. He does so much with so little. It's magical. And the group he gets together on this stage looked like the best musicians. You should listen to "Tears in Heaven." It's heartbreaking. He lost his son, who had a tragic accident as a small boy.
Clapton was one of the best concerts I ever attended. Yeah, he did four decades of his hits and finished with "Over the Rainbow" from the Wizard of Oz. I swear, I had tears in my eyes (as did my wife). He is an amazing musician. I'd check out his live version of "I Shot the Sheriff".

You should check out Clapton with Stevie Winwood, OMG. I have not heard this in such a long time. What a great combination... you guys watching it for the first time, and Clapton just blowing everyone away.
I was fortunate enough to see him in concert 3 times in the 90s. My husband was so inspired by Eric that he started playing guitar. Hubby is a great guitarist. It lead to him making his own electric guitars and then making acoustic guitars. It is amazing what an inspiration a musician can be to another person.
Eric is nice. But they're are way better players out there. He's probably top ten. But I'd take jimi,Jimmy, srv,Van Halen, Derrick trucks, and a few others over him. His blues sound is just very clean and consistent. Solos lack complexity and sounds lacks variety for me compared to others.
I am a 69 year old grandmother who loves your videos. It is a joy watching you learn about the music of my youth. Eric Clapton, SRV and Prince are my favorite guitarists. Please watch the video from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honoring George Harrison of the Beatles. Tom Petty and other musicians play While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Prince will blow you away with his guitar solo. It gives me chills! Keep up the good work, young men!
My Dad is a huge Eric Clapton fan and so I heard his music all the time growing up. I truly think he is the greatest guitarist to ever play. It is insane what he can do.
The Bassist is Nathan East, a legend. He was worked - recorded and toured - with so many greats from Stevie Wonder to Eric Clapton. I love so many blues players from the last 90 years or so. What I like about EC is the respect he has for those who came before him and his peers. He has done so much over a long career. He has the utmost respect for Robert Johnson, BB King, Buddy Guy, Hendrix, SRV (just to name a few) and is a champion of more recent artists. His crossroad concert DVDs are a must for any lover of guitar oriented music.
Clapton is a blues legend. He kept leaving bands because they kept turning in to rock and roll bands, and he really just wanted to stick with blues. That said, he has charted albums in like 7 or 8 different genres. His fans in England had a simple way to express his greatness: Clapton is God.
Clapton is one of the best to ever do it and it's largely thanks to him (and others of course) that the Blues became as popular as it did. He just drips Soul. Check out stuff like 'Forever Man', 'Pretending', 'Bad Love', 'Before You Accuse Me' ,'Change The World' and 'Gotta Get Over' just to name a few out of many!
He'd been playing for decades by the time of this song. He's always had a great feel about him. From the 60's forward. A natural. Like the guitar was invented for him.
This is one of the guitarists that Hendrix idolized, [along with Jeff Beck.] Clapton was in the 'first' Supergroup, 'Cream,' in the sixties. They were a 'power trio.'
My late husband and I got to see him in San Diego on his Journeyman Tour many years ago. The stage opened up, there he was sitting on a chair they just started playing. His back up singers are amazing. It was a magical night.
FUI. Look up how he lost his toddler. Fell from their high rise apartment. Of cause he was devastated. He wrote and sang a song about losing his son. Old or young- man or woman-black or white you will have tears in yours when you listen to his words. So beautiful. Tears in Heaven.
Eric started his career in the "Yardbirds and Cream". He is called " Slow Hands".....many early rockers get their musical roots from the "Blues". Great talent for sure...
"I just learned more here than I did in 4 years of school. I feel like my eyes were just opened to a whole n'other level". Young man, you just graduated. Congratulations, and welcome to my world!! 🥰🥰🥰

Eric can turn notes into words!! Many fantastic guitarist in this world, Eric is one of the best 👌
I saw him in concert in 1977 when one of his big hits “Cocaine” was on the radio. He’s awesome 😎
He makes that guitar sing..outstanding!!!
I had to come watch this one again~ phenomenon!! You got it right~ SOULFULL as hell. ❤❤❤
One of the best ever!!! Clapton hits it out of the park every time!🔥🔥🔥
I love seeing you discover “new” music! Your reactions are priceless ❤
Awesome talent!!! And I love watching you guys when you hear something you really like and who doesn’t like Eric Clapton👍👍❤️
I was a fan of this man since his days with cream. 55 years of greatness.
Oh yeah!~
Its priceless ,watching your young faces ,reacting to all this great music.
Clapton is a blues legend. He kept leaving bands because they kept turning in to rock and roll bands, and he really just wanted to stick with blues. That said, he has charted albums in like 7 or 8 different genres. His fans in England had a simple way to express his greatness: Clapton is God.
No, that would be Eddie Van Halen or Jimi Hendrix.
@@williamjordan5554 It's an old saying. I didn't coin it. The sayin pre-dates Jimi's fame, and Eddies as well.
@@williamjordan5554 Here's the WikiPedia entry en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clapton_is_God. I come from Islington and I was around in 1966, but it wasn't me😁
Clapton is one of the best to ever do it and it's largely thanks to him (and others of course) that the Blues became as popular as it did.
Love watching these fellas. There's so truthfull and funny.😂
I’ve seen Clapton several times. I had full body chills all night. It almost brought tears to my eyes watching y’all groovin to Slowhand. ❤
Love Clapton’s voice!
My soul dances when I hear Clapton....and this is my favorite Clapton song.... lyrics are outstanding
FUI. Look up how he lost his toddler. Fell from their high rise apartment. Of cause he was devastated. He wrote and sang a song about losing his son. Old or young- man or woman-black or white you will have tears in yours when you listen to his words. So beautiful. Tears in Heaven.
❤The amazing B.B King 🎸singing ‘The thrill is gone’ with Eric Clapton
Eric started his career in the "Yardbirds and Cream". He is called " Slow Hands".....many early rockers get their musical roots from the "Blues". Great talent for sure...
Don't forget Derek and the Dominos as well
So awesome to see you guy's opening up to older music....great reactions and there is so much more for you to discover out there❤
"I just learned more here than I did in 4 years of school. I feel like my eyes were just opened to a whole n'other level". Young man, you just graduated. Congratulations, and welcome to my world!! 🥰🥰🥰
He has played wit BB King many times ,also played with the Beatles in studio !! Gotta hear tears in Heaven ! You guys are gonna be in for some good stuff !!
Thank you guys so much for listening and reacting to this. This is the first time i have heard this in a long, long time.
I’m 70 and watching these brothers listening to perfection is unreal
I love tuning into your selections - how you all enjoy 60's -70' s instrumentalists. And are moved!! E.g. Eric Clapton
Eric Clapton is one of the best out there. We saw him three times. Amazing player.
The brother in the back is LEGENDARY Nathan East, one of the great bassists of our time.
Eric Clapton is definitely 👍🏼 one of the best guitarists ever in our lifetime!!! He’s sooo awesome!!! And his voice is as good 👍🏼 as his playing the guitar 🎸
