I am about 3 weeks into my “build” using woodland scenics products ( grass, boulders, trees, buildings) and other neat things for my n scale model railroad. The results are excellent! I am now planning a much bigger layout... thanks for the inspiration. Maybe I should start a channel to promote your products. They work and look great

The ballast gravel on the track on my railroad along eith gravel roads were tone using Woodland Scenics products. The ballast gravel is three colours mixed One part dark brown, One part light brown and two parts buff. I should have added one part medium grey I used Elmers carpenters glue cut 50%with water and with a bit of liquid soap to glue down the road and ballast.

The dry time depends on a couple of different things, such as the amount applied and environmental factors like humidity. Scenic Cement should dry completely within a few hours. To help speed up dry time, place a fan in the room to increase circulation.

Hello there! We used our 1" foam sheet as a base (ST1424) and covered it with Plaster Cloth (C1203, C1191-C1193). You can then paint it and scenic it. Other products used are Scenic Cement (S191) Gravel (C1286-C1289) Thank you for your interest in our products.

We thoroughly test our product for their intended use. We have not tested Scenic Cement on spouses and therefore cannot off an opinion as to the outcome. :-)
what about using real dirt? just sift it too get rid of small pebbles and other stuff and heat it to around 400 degrees in order to kill any critters living in it.
Couldn’t you just use ballast? I mean come on woodland scenics! Half of your products are a ripoff! Your road striping pens are just paint pens! You can by those at Walmart for 5 bucks!

I will give it a try. The detail dirt looks great on roads. Wonder how it will work on Red Heads!

When using Scenic Cement, you should let it dry for approximately 30 minutes between applications.

If you are doing this as a hobby DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BUY THESE PRODUCTS UNLESS YOU ARE RICH! They are completely over priced for the average Joe.
We suggest buying our products directly from your local hobby store as they often provide discounts and have sales.
