Awesome content! I'm happy I waited a little bit for these 10th gen processors. Hopefully we will see a 10900K opencore guide on this channel in a near future. I'm really looking forward for your next builds.
Would you be able to do a tutorial on usb port limiting? I know there are other tutorials out there but you kinda explain everything better, with lots of patience and details.
Hi TechNolli! You are the man! Can you do a video on upgrading macOS and OpenCore to the latest from an existing machine running a previous version of OpenCore and MacOS?
So I can just buy the exact parts from your links. Then set the bios like you said. Download your EFI from your site. Put it in the MacOS installer and woof. That easy?

Thank you. I was planning a build and already have all the parts except for the power supply which has been the hardest part. This helps loads. You da man!

Thank you!!!! Great tutorial. This was my second Hackintosh build. The first (z370, 9th Gen) was fairly easy but I was really struggling to get the new z490, 10th gen to even install the OS. I'm up and running in one day, everything is working except on board ethernet (temporary fix is a USB/Ethernet adapter). Thanks again, this is the best tutorial I've come across.
Thank you very much for this tutorial. Followed all of your steps and everything works perfectly, instead of thing. Bluetooth doesn't work for some reason:( I used same wifi/bt card as you, and wifi is flying - but Bluetooth can't even find my Magic Mouse. Any suggestions how to solve this problem? Thank you so much in advance!
Hi there. I'm looking at building a dual boot machine.. an ssd for Windows 10, the other ssd for Mac OSX. I'll be using a 10700k. I can't seem to find a reasonably priced Z490 Motherboard. Do you think an MSI MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI could work? Hey TechNolli, I can't find an answer online to this question...will a 10900KF work w/ dedicated gfx card (5700xt to be precise) or does Opencore require the 10900K (with iGPU)? Thank you for your time putting these videos together they're insanely useful!
im getting ready to build, i know there is alot of changes, should i watch a newer video of yours? but i am building a Z490 10900k, cause it was the last legit kind of setup, sorta.
Hi Mike. I have the same set up as you, followed all the instructions to make the install and it goes all the way to the mac install and then after the "apple" screen it just goes round and round installing with pages of script but never gets to the "world map" screen as shown in the video. Can't figure out what is wrong. Can you help?
Will this work with all 10th gen Intel? I'm looking to do a build with the i7 10700. I'm finalizing my parts this week. I'm deciding if no want to wait on the Nzxt H1. But if I was to ship you all the components built would you do the installation of Mac os? If so what cost?
Can I install Mac OS High Sierra on my Z490 Vision D or is my hardware to new for 10.13? I have tried the Tonymacx86 guide and can't get into the installation, I don't see a progress bar
I am having issues getting Mount EFI to work. I open the program and select the number for the install mac osx catalina USB stick and hit enter. Instead of prompting me for a password it goes back to the main entry screen. Doesn't give me a failed message like when I try to type in a false entry... almost acts like it just refreshes. It's driving me nuts, because I am not really sure what steps to take to correct this. I also have tried restarting, recreating my vanilla boot loader, and tried re-downloading mount EFI. I bought the EFI from technoli for my board/gpu, so I am ready to go on that end. But kind of useless if I can't get the partition to show. Version of Catalina is 10.15.7 that I downloaded for my boot loader.... Currently working inside of 10.11.6 El Capitan on my current mac to try and execute all of this. Any thoughts or pointers?
Thanks! I was able to get my system up and running. A step for those that may be stuck, if you download the preconfigured SSDT from the opencore forum it should work perfectly rather than following the copy and paste method used in this video because the website was updated.
Thank you so much for your EFI folder. However, by your "config.plist" the iStat-menus on my computer does not show the thermal sensor for cpu and fans' speed. Could you teach me how to fig it? my mainboard is Gigabyte Z490M gamingX. Best regards.
Thank you so much for this my friend! I'm very much the kind than learns by seeing it done at least once. This video was superb! Thank you for taking it slow and step by step. I made a successful build thanks to you! Everything is working great.
Hi first off thank you so much for your videos they are extremely helpful! Right now I have my Hackintosh built and I'm trying to get windows to work on a separate SSD. When I have my MacOs ssd installed that works great, then (because if your videos) I took that SSD out so I could do a clean install of Windows 10. Then I got that working great, and then I tried to re install my MacOs ssd, and now my motherboard is showing a status LED that means that my GPU isn't working normally so it won't go into the bios at all. So in order to get to the bios I have to uninstall one or the other. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong. P.S when I've been switching back and forth I've been disabling and enabling the encoding in 4G setting to make sure that everything will load. They just don't work together.
Can I run compile maciasl on other computer. In this video you compile the file on a mac and i think its on the same build that you are going to install mac. You already install mac on this build isnt it?
Hey, TechNolli. Thanks so much for this. My first Hackintosh build is up and running using these parts and following your instructions. I am even able to use my Apollo Twin via Thunderbolt 2 into a Thunderbolt 3 adapter with this build. I haven't been able to figure out how to have my Thunderbolt 2 external hard drives show up (also through a TB2->TB3 adapter). Any ideas that may help me? Switching the cables did not work.
TechNolli, I see. I guess I’m spending more money on new storage. Any ideas about the computer not going all the way to sleep (or freezing up in that process)? Thanks!
Another great build Mike. You make this look so easy and thus I have confidence in building Hackintoshes again. Thank you for all that you do sir. Quick question: have you considered using iMac Pro as your reference model?
thanks for these videos - very very helpful - i installed big sur on a comet lake dell xps 8940 - with a radeon 560 graphics card...i am able to get hdmi audio from the card but for some reason i cant make the system see the onboard audio device (realtek 3861 - which i believe is codec ALC899)...i have tried multiple audio layouts and nothing......everything else seems to work perfectly.....i have followed the guide and get all the boxes to check green for the config plist / OC sanity checker 0.63.....is there something obvious i may be missing?

Hi dear technolli. I just bought the VIsion D... immediately when I saw this video.... IoI. So I decided I'll be paying for your website support in the next days but I'm new on this Hackintosh thing. So I want first to understand a couple of questions before I get into the "Tech" pay questions. It is about what components to buy first. But I'm doubting in the following regard: Is this built flexible to change components or the software stick to the hardware components exactly as you built it? I want to run my Apollo 6x with Logic (don't know if Luna is working on Hack) and also I Want to run Davinci Resolve(most important) , Premiere, After Effects.. all those GPU demanding apps. So I think the Gigabyte Radeon Rx 5700 Xt that you show here is not optimized for that purpose and is AMD tech.. Maybe I'm wrong. So My question: Can I buy another NVIDIA GPU card ? or I have to stick to this one in order to build this specific system? Let me know to be available to buy the right components before I screw up and your later couldn't help me. By the way my idea is to put 64gb ram and a 10th i9. with 2 or 3 ssd nvme. Can I buy those? here is an article about the gpx cards:
Great video! I have share your video and some are able to built the hackintosh with your guide. However, i am stuck at after 1st reboot with error "the macos installation couldn't be completed" =/ any idea what went wrong? i did not use your EFI and i follow the guide at opencore instead due to your EFI is for Vision D. Would it work for my Z490 aorus master with i710700k? I am using a MSI RX5700 XT GPU, might this be the issue for not able to complete the installation?
Hey, TechNolli! Keep 'em comin'! Have you considered the inexpensive ASUS F510UA? I haven't found anyone running Mojave or Catalina on this laptop via OpenCore.
nice review of 10th Gen Intel with OPENCORE HACKINTOSH may i ask how you rec the Gigabyte BIOS video screen? set up in PC BIOS ? good for trouble shoot PC BIOS set up what hardware capture Box that you use ? thank you
Thank you for creating these fantastic tutorials! I’m interested in dual booting Catalina and High Sierra. High Sierra is needed for NVIDIA compatibility. I just wondered if this is possible? I’m guessing I’d need two USB installers for each OS and then install either onto separate drives or a partition. Thinking an Intel system with this MB might be best too as I’m looking for TB3 support and also in terms of stability. However isn’t TB3 supported via Titan Ridge on the TRX40 Designare if I were to go down the Threadripper route?
Hey TechNolli, thanks for the videos they have been a hugggeeee help and saved my bacon! I did a install the other day and its been fine, until i did a migration from a time machine backup. After i turned it off and come to re-boot i am stuck with "memory panic stackshot", i could only see this error by using the usb stick to boot from. Would you have any ideas on how to fix this please?
Please make a video on Whiskey Lake chipset or give some whiskey lake related content. I did some research on Intel i7-8565U, and I found this on intel website "The i7-8565U is a “Whiskey Lake” 8th Gen part, which is an update of the older i7-8550U 8th Gen “Kaby Lake R”. There are no big changes on the newer model. " I know you cover all intel series processors. Thanks Man for Making a brief videos about OpenCore. Should I try the "Kaby Lake" guide from OpenCore website. I am going to install macOS on Intel i7-8565U Whiskey Lake Intel UHD graphics 620 NVIDIA GeForce MX250

Hello Technoli, I have exactly the same motherboard, a gigabyte vision D with bios revision F5. Would this work with ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII Wifi motherboard? Do I need to purchase extra equipment such as wifi card or will it work with the default built-in wifi and bluetooth on the motherboard? What about for the Facetime Cam? Can it use a 3rd party cam instead?
Sorry, I have not test the ASUS 10th Gen yet. But I am sure it will work. But only Catalina 10.15.5 or higher. You would need to change the wifi card with a Broadcom. I use a generic cam with Hack and it works fine.

Hi technolli, does this build can be used with apogee ensemble thunderbolt soundcard (use tb2 to tb3 adapter) ?
Hey, TechNolli! Keep 'em comin'! Have you considered the inexpensive ASUS F510UA? I haven't found anyone running Mojave or Catalina on this laptop via OpenCore.
"Disable Lo Mapper" lol... 13:25, that's Eye-Oh
nice review of 10th Gen Intel with OPENCORE HACKINTOSH
may i ask how you rec the Gigabyte BIOS video screen?
set up in PC BIOS ? good for trouble shoot PC BIOS set up
what hardware capture Box that you use ?
thank you
I use the Flint 4k USB capture device.
Would I be able to run Mojave in a VM with this setup, using Catalina as the host?
Would Clover work with Intel Comet Lake?
can u leave a link to the exact website ? otherwise the we can't perform the exact tasks because the website link is different now.
I am going to install macOS on
Intel i7-8565U Whiskey Lake
Intel UHD graphics 620
NVIDIA GeForce MX250
Can I use this tutorial on 10th gen Ice Lake processor?
FYI ... with this explanation and the previous Skylake vid I was able to update to .59. At first blush I don't see any differences ...... Thanks TechNolli
TechNolli we love your videos and detailed step by step process, I have been trying to Build Ryzen 9 3900x Hackintosh using open core 0.5.9 and unfortunately SSDT section is different now and it doesn’t take me to the same page after you click the SSDT in the ACPI section ? Anything changed ?
Hello Technoli,
I have exactly the same motherboard, a gigabyte vision D with bios revision F5. I have connected on the M2 ports two corsair MP600 ssd's, as well as a seagate ironwolfpro disk on the sata 2.
The intel RST is activated, the ssd are on the M2M and M2P ports because on the M2A port, the ssd is not recognized, how do you make so that your ssd are recognized in the M2A port ? does my motherboard have a bug ?
Do you have a specific bios setting ?
thank you
Best regards

@@TechNolli Thank you very much. I also bought the CPU & motherboard after watching your video. Things went well with VEGA 64 except the Bluetooth. I just remove the card a minute ago (after reading your message above). Bluetooth still doesn't work. Should I reinstall the whole thing?
@@TechNolli I'm really considering either the ryzen 5 3600 or i5 10400
But I'm wondering if sidecar feature works on the Intel?
If not I will just go with the ryzen as its better for production

Would this work with ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII Wifi motherboard? Do I need to purchase extra equipment such as wifi card or will it work with the default built-in wifi and bluetooth on the motherboard? What about for the Facetime Cam? Can it use a 3rd party cam instead?
Sorry, I have not test the ASUS 10th Gen yet. But I am sure it will work. But only Catalina 10.15.5 or higher. You would need to change the wifi card with a Broadcom. I use a generic cam with Hack and it works fine.
Yo can i also run windows from a seperate ssd for gaming??
