Love seeing Stan play again. Still has a lot of the old facial expressions and body movements - cool to see. Love his style. Wonder who Mike spotted at the corner of the stage… seemed to make him excited.
Duuuude. Mike channeled that one. Note for note perfection. Everyone smiling at the end because well, that was awesome! I think Stan's ready for the Heartbreakers reunion. JK or maybe not kidding...
If they ever do anything together with the original 4, I think they should just play as "The Heartbreakers" and not even try to replace Tom. Stan is a great singer. Mike, Ben, Ron, Scott, etc. could all help out and they could do a ton of songs. Stay away from Free Fallin' and the biggest hits, and do whatever they can do. I would love to hear some deeper cuts that they didn't often get to play, such as "When The Time Comes," which Mike and Stan did a few times on this tour.
Great to see Stan Lynch behind the drums again for the first time since Tom Petty fired him through their manager in 1994. He only performed two more songs ever with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - when they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and he agreed to come back for two. Somehow, Mike got Stan to come out of retirement when he lost his drummer on this tour and he filled in very well. He was a little concerned because he had not played drums in a very long time but as seen here, he got back into and said later this was therapeutic to come back and play some old Heartbreaker songs without Tom Petty. He actually seems to be having fun!
STAN LYNCH!♥️♥️♥️♥️
Love Dirty Knobs. Awesome to see Stan and Mike playing together a bit too.
Stan's the Man!

Mike isn’t a good singer but he’s a brilliant guitar player and writer
Tom’s body may have given out - but his soul has attached to Mike. Another great live road band rolls on … with the top dropped down.
Heartbreakers should hit the road one more time with Mike singing
