I don’t understand why, with the reach both of these guys have, they don’t just promote it themselves. Jon is arguably one of the most recognizable UFC athletes period, usually getting mainstream recognition. Francis went on a rampage and left the UFC in a very big way, drawing curious out on what he’ll do next. They literally only have each other in their talent and size category. My money is still on Jones, but if they promote it themselves, they cut uncle Dana out of the picture and could earn hundreds of millions of dollars. It’d be the biggest fight in MMA history.
As long as Jon is under contract there is no cutting Dana out. Unfortunately I think he signed a 6 fight contract and only plans to fight 1 of those and retire. Time will tell I guess
What, and fight in someone's backyard? The fighters are the tip of the iceberg. There's promotion, sanctioning, testing, judges, events, venue. Someone has to do that hence why it took a while for Francis to sign to an organisation to do all that for him. They'd have to sign to a promotion to get a sanctioned fight.
@@TheFlamingChips Sure. I guess in my head they'd pull a Mayweather and buy or start a promotion. I understand you will counter with the cost to such an endeavor; the fact is i have been a proponent of successful people starting their own companies. Both fighters are near the age of retirement, so it's not like they'd need more than a few more fights to see a similar amount of combat before they retire. In my opinion, and if it were me, I'd want to see the type of returns that only certain caliber of fighters get the opportunity to see. Just my opinion.

Im an old guy. Jon is 1 million % ducking Tom. How does the Aspinal fight not make sense when Toms the interim HW champ. How tf does that fight no make sense. It was good when Jon was in his 20s beating all the older fighters
If he's the goat he needs to beat Tom
What would have been changed after any outcome of JJ - TA fight? JJ would be the GOAT anyway. He has prove everything been #1 in the sport for years
@@iborntobedrunk1077 proving that tom is the best heavyweight in the world...
Bro you seriously lack knowledge about real life. Do you not realize how much abuse mma fighters put their bodies through? Dude has been fighting for over 10 years. He's at the top of the hill now. Why take a fight against someone who is 10 years younger, if the money portion of it doesn't make sense. Why risk his title, just because people want it?
@@samspencer5439 I think so, that's not the point.
Usik is the best boxer now, but he is not chasing Mike Tyson
And Mike is the goat and legend
Same JJ
@@iborntobedrunk1077 brother that is a horrible comparrison. Usyk is the undisputed champ and Mike Tyson is 60. Jon jones is the champ and has Tom as the interim champ that needs to unify🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️. Jon saying he doesn’t wanna fight young up and comers as if he hasn’t been the much younger fighter his WHOLE career basically🦆
That's right.. spend years not really fighting and picking and choosing who you think you can beat.. Don fry and Randy just had a fight with who was next. They were great days.
You will forever be the goat. Whenever Jon jones fights it brings that mike Tyson , Micheal Jordan vibes. That’s what ima miss.
😂😂😂😂 yeah okay.. not
@@The1st60ft maybe not to you and that’s ok
You must not have been around for the Mike era (Jordan, Jackson,Tyson). Only ufc and casual sport fans know who Jon Jones is. People in nursing homes knew who the 3 Mikes were.
@@melijahcopeland4101 I was too young. I watched Tyson because of my bigger brother. I was little but he told me to watch him cause he’s one of the greatest fighters ever. The same with Jordan, he sat me down and told me he is the best basketball player ever. I only watched 2 Jordan games live. During the bulls era. Then of course I knew and watched him on the wizards. But I remember them, I didn’t embrace them tho at the time. I wasn’t a fan of anything. But Tyson I did. I watched Tyson ever since he fought Botha & on. So as a kid I remember staying up fighting not to go to sleep to watch Tyson knock someone out in 90 seconds. I thanks my big bro for putting me onto those memories.
@@melijahcopeland4101 just because I’m type young doesn’t mean idk your old head era. And your right I didn’t know or hear anything about Micheal Jackson until he turned white. Then I was told he is the greatest popstar ever. Honestly, he’s great but I don’t even like Michael Jackson’s music.
He is the best. The best there ever was and the best there ever will be.
Brett Harte?
steroids and ducking Sergei
LOL. Lost to reyes and gus. Everyone will forget the woman beating drug cheat when he retires just like we forgot him when he left for 3 years.
