I have epilepsy once the seizure is over and the confusion ends i’m fine. It’s rare I need to go hospital for seizures. I’ve never had to go for just one. It’s usually when I get recurrent one after the other. It’s good for people who don’t understand epilepsy to know these things. But also to be aware if it’s longer than 5 minutes or you don’t know if the person even has epilepsy could be a first seizure or something else wrong call an ambulance.

This 💯💯💯 so many people have called the ambulance for me having a seizure it was such a common occurrence and there was nothing they could even really do they usually just leave you in a room for hours for no reason... I've made it clear to anyone I spend any kind of time with that if I have a seizure don't call an ambulance or take me to the hospital, just give me reassurance and make sure I'm not gonna slam my head or body into anything...

That's very helpful to know! Many of us are not familiar with epilepsy, snd would think the responsible, caring thing to do would be to call 911. I'm glad you both shared that with all of us....Now just to get the info out to the rest of the nation..... lol

If you're used to having seizures, having one wouldn't be the end of the world and you'd def want to stay at the shows. Had a patient who had 50-60 a day. If they went the hospital after every seizure, they'd never leave

Not really, if the seizure is longer than 5 mins you’ll need to get an anti convulsion shot from a professional. My cat died of brain tumors that caused seizures and she had one in the middle of the night under my bed and I took her to the hospital vet and they gave her the shot but it was too late, The seizure caused to much brain damage.

@@KaylaA725I have an anti seizure emergency medication that can be given to me by literally anyone. Doesn’t need to be a professional. If they k ow where it’s located and how to use it, then they’re good to go. They just wait and if I’m not conscious after 5 minutes, the put it up my nose like u do Flonase. And if that doesn’t get me out, u call 911, wait another five minutes, then make me injest the second one in the box.

My seizure today was only 4 minutes therefore I didn’t go to the hospital. Also only like 5% of people are triggered by flashing lights. I appreciate your concern though.

the thing is, seizures are a fucking mess, a close friend of mine had it during a play practice, stress induced, first thing they did when they woke up was start reading the script. I tried to take it for obvious reasons, but they were like “I need it” and even said “it’s your turn” to the paramedic thinking he was an actor/character in the play 😅
ppl go delirious post-convulsing and think everything is manageable. I saw the clip of the girl during his show, and now I completely understand it 😂😂

By the time it was done i had missed the first 30min but i still went for that concert😂😂. And the fortunate thing was the hospital i was taken to was right across the concert venue 😂lol. This is just a guess but she could’ve had POTS- fainted because of sitting in the same position for too long- and then because she was sitting it makes your body have a seizure-like episode where it’s just trying to pump blood into your brain and then you wake up and feel fine after a few minutes and that’s probably why she wanted to stay. It’s not an actual seizure if that makes sense you just are kinda tired afterwards. It happened to me on a plane and they were like “do you want a wheelchair when we land” and I had to assure them I was totally fine.

I’m assuming the seizure was caused by random or she was extremely excited causing her to hyperventilate and dizzy. As someone who has epilepsy when I get too excited it would cause an episode. But when coming back from the seizure I would be completely fine. Unless it’s a grandmal seizure after I have those I would throw up 3 times and then pass out wake up and throw up again.

@@oliviamorgan-nb5ln So, pseudoseizures are seizures that are caused by something mentally, not physically. I have conversion disorder and part of that is having pseudoseizures. I don't have epilepsy or any other condition that causes them. Conversion disorder is usually caused by prolonged and/or extreme trauma (a lot of the time it's SA, particularly in childhood, but it can be caused by other things) and the body can no longer physically handle stress or trauma normally, so it releases it in other ways.
As far as I know, that's really all the difference is. Pseudoseizures can look like petite mal and other seizures, the key difference is why the body is doing it and what the brain looks like when it's happening. I actually got my seizure captured when they were giving me tests and for regular seizures, they see abnormalities in the brain, but mine didn't have that!
I would say you can always ask your doctor about it, but I was in the same boat as you. Doctors said it was for attention and that I was faking it, while simultaneously telling me that I would never go to college or drive or be able to hold down a job. I got diagnosed after about 11 seizures in a row and I wouldn't wake up, got rushed to the ER, and I just so happened to get a doctor in that ER who just so happened to have known what conversion disorder was. It was pure chance (and luck) that I got diagnosed

@@kail9036 oh ok. I don’t have epilepsy either (at least that’s what my Neuro’s told me) but I’m actually able to remain awake and conscious and function normally whenever I had my wake seizures. I’ve taken tests and even driven while in the midst of one. That’s why they said I was faking something, Cause I could still functions. Thanks for explaining btw!

If someone has a diagnosed seizure disorder they rarely need the hospital. That shit is expensive. I get why she would rather stay for the show.

@MattRifeClipsNOTMattRife so someone recently told me what doing whipits was like. I've never done them, but the way they described it was like my seizures and whipits can cause seizures. If you've ever done them its like that I'd imagined. My head gets loud, but specific sounds and words blur out, and it's like my head is going through a loud, almost humming like but with an in and out frequency. Then I get super hot really quickly, and then my vision goes dark. When im coming out of it, it's wild. People are more like silhouettes for a moment and hard to hear them.
