Maybe all the treatments you have had to do recently have killed off some of the beneficial bacteria in the filter? Adding some beneficial bacteria would help with the nitrite levels and cycle the gravel. The plants will reduce the nitrate once they take off. I think the gravel filter will really help with the overall health of the pond and your fish, keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to an update!
@@andrewchampion4661 thanks mate. I am just letting it all settle down now. Bacteria has been added and levels are back to normal. I've had poor tap water quality. Update coming soon. 👍

How old is the bog filter you might have to give it time to get matured
