    Basking platforms would be nice as well. Something like a step stool would be great if it was wide enough for an adult boa. If you can let me know

      Thank you! Thanks for stopping by, that was one of those "small world" moments. 😎👍
      Also I remember you said you had a couple of retics. I was wondering if you would be interested in Slipknots older reptile enclosure? I just finished sprucing it up. It's an 8'x2'x18".

    Watching you attach that branch to the ceiling gave me a neat Idea: Could I use Cypress Knees attached to the ceiling to create a Stalactite effect? They could be attached by counter sinking a neodymium magnet into the base of the root and the ceiling of the enclosure, that way you could remove them for easy maintenance. Maybe seal them with a water based varnish to protect against humidity?

    How do you attach the wood to the walls?

    • @talkingserpents
      @talkingserpents  3 года назад +2

      Great question. Sounds like this question would be good to be answered in a RUclips video.
      Although I will try and shed some light.
      Step 1 configure the branch to your liking.
      Step 2 cut branch to fit on the wall as flat as possible.
      Step 3 from the inside, mark the outer edges of the wood contacting the wall.
      Step 4 mark two or three holes and drill into the wall on the reptile enclosure.
      Step 5 countersink the outside of the reptile enclosure screw holes, so that the screw head is flush.
      Step 6 have someone hold the branch on the inside of the reptile enclosure, and predrill the holes on the branch.
      Step 7 screw in the branch to the wall.
      NOTE the most important part is to pre-drill / pilot hole the branches to ensure thay don't crack while adding screws.
      Hope this information was helpful. 😎👍🛠
