A great update! And of course perfectly executed by the devs.
Keep the Heptabase content coming!!!!! love that app.
I can totally relate to the excitement, Tom!
Despite the lack of a pin feature until now, I was amazed at how well-structured everything was, almost making it feel unnecessary. However, now that this feature has been actually added, the game-changer vibe has definitely intensified.
While using the Tab Group function, I got the sense that the true use of Heptabase has just begun. 😊
About time!!!
I'm loving your videos! They're so helpful in learning how to take advantage of all that Heptabase has to offer. One thing I don't see in Heptabase that I love in Obsidian and Capacities is the ability to assign tags to individual blocks of text within cards (rather than tags being only assigned to entire cards). Am I missing something or is there a workaround for this?
Thanks for your kind words 💚 The concept is indeed that Tags are only applied on a card level. Tana allows block (node) level tagging. However, we didn’t know that this is possible in Obsidian? Although you can tags in any place on a note, it’s still the whole note being affected, or did something change there?
@@paperlessmovement thanks for your quick response. It's very possible I'm using the wrong language, so perhaps nothing changed. Here's more general language that might better explain what I am referring to...when you search by tag, the specific line of text with that tag comes up rather than the general page. I would LOVE to be able to be brought to a specific line of text within a card in Heptabase. Is there a way to do that?
@user-vr7ot2xw6d unfortunately it’s very unlikely that this will come to Heptabase as it’s not their approach with tags. Tags are deeply integrated on a Card level and adding them to a block level isn’t some we see would work in this tool. 🫣
@paperlessmovement is there a way to export easily from Heptabase. I was not really finding a nice way to export things for print etc.
Thank you,
Where can we find that outro song!? I just noticed it. 🙂
Not available in full length yet ;) But thanks for letting us know, so we'll consider to make it available at some point! Stay tuned!
Shocked faces as a way to attract interest to a video is old hat and wearing seriously thin. It adds zero credibility to the content you are trying to present which is actually very good.
Thanks for the feedback. What would you suggest instead to draw attention to a tool feature?
Well I am quite sure that somebody who can notice a shocked face thumbnail on youtube, should reconsider what he is missing in his sad life...
It could be that the shocked face is getting newbies in the door.... Could focus more on the headline structure. For instance...the benefit in this headline, "will change your Note-Taking and Deep Thinking workflows!" is kinda vague. I'd focus more on the major problem that's solved by the tabs update. So I'd start with something like ..."Getting lost in Heptabase every time you switch platforms? Here's how the new Tabs Update solves that."
