Give the guy some credit. He was probably still a boy when this song came out, and he clearly loved it enough to do it justice. Maybe Chino was one of his influences to get into music. I love the string arrangement, the tunings and his vocals are haunting. Drums stayed true to Abe's style, and the bass was all Chi

As a fan of the Deftones for over 20 years and an Architects for fan for over 10 years. Have both bands tattooed on my body and I think this cover is nothing short of amazing! I've seen soooo many bands attempt to cover this song and some end up butchering it bit this is perfection!

Yeah that snare needs to not be a 16 woodie. Needs to be steel,14, and the batter tight as fuck and that stick needs to be hitting that ring a LOT more. We could also talk about the hat sound that's completely off because it's not a crispy set and it sounds like it needs nylon tips to make the exact sound on the bell replicated from the album...but let's not go there. I love this version. These guys fucking nailed it.
At least he stayed true to Abe's style. Keep it simple and make it fit the song perfectly. No over the top antics, just let it flow man

This is pretty great. Lots of groups have covered this song but this is the best one I've heard so far. Although, I think the singer maybe could've tried to sing in the style of Moreno, just maybe a little. He still did a good job though, and the music is absolutely spectacular.

Beacon Lightning you never heard of Deftones until you heard this!! How?!! Have you been living under a rock? Deftones have been around since 1988 and their first studio album was released in 1995!
@@dalekay9ineDude I'm 14 and was born in 2005. I just like this kind of music which is isn't pushed to the media this much nowadays, which in turn takes time for me to get to. If it weren't for architects I probably never would have found them. But yes I agree with you, if you were a 90's kid and didn't hear of Deftones until now you do live under a rock. DEFTONES is one of the best bands in my opinion🤘

@@dalekay9ine It's hard to say honestly, I've spent lots of time listening to each album and appreciate all of them respectfully. If I had to choose one to listen to for the rest of my life I'd have to go with Around the fur. I spent lots of time learning most of the songs off that album on guitar. My own summer, lhabia , head up, ect.. Also thanks for your understanding, rock on🤘🤘
Beacon Lightning That’s a classic no doubt! Can’t go wrong with Around the Fur!!! I always say my favorite is Koi No Yokan because I love it, there’s not a bad song on it, and it came out and I listened to it at a very awesome, special time in my life. Same with Selftitled, which I think is highly underrated!!
