Thank you for such a great and simple tutorial. I have failed twice at making petal canes and although I have made other canes pretty well, the petal canes has been a bit of a challenge. I think I can make this. So I am going to give it a try. Thanks again.
I’m making a gift and I used yellow and orange for a sunflower. I watched step by step and I wished I seen this before cause this has helped me make perfect petals🧡🧡🧡
I loved the video set up, quick moving, directions written to show step by step all in under ten mins! i'm just starting out so i want to watch the process many times over, but not at 45 mins 1 1/2 hr per cane. This process seems overwhelming, but after watching i feel like i can attempt it now. Pausing & unpausing the whole way lol.
Nell, you make this look so easy but I'm sure that you have tons of experience too. I'm going to try this one out, I don't have near the experience that you do but I'll give it a shot. Your work is beautiful, I love your channel, thank you so much for sharing ♥️
This looks amazing and a lot of fun. How much of each color did you use roughly?. I want my canes to be as big as yours and I alwys tend to use to little amounts so they come off all wonky and small
It takes a bit of experience until you get the right proportions. Usually my starting cane would be around 5-6cm in diameter and that's about two small polymer clay packs, you can make larger if need to, I will try to get the exact amount in next video
Once you have a flower petal cane, do you combine it into a full flower cane or do you recommend just keeping it as petals to arrange into flowers? Or both?
Oh you can do both absolutely! I used it to arrange flowers more of a 3d effect but you can combine into a flower cane, cut into 5-6 same length pieces and add some background, light or transparent colour would look great 👌
Hi Denise. Thank you and yes I think you could use them as beads but in this case I would cut them slightly thicker to make them stronger for jewellery 😊
@@ArtbyNell its new its fimo soft. But maybe its because of all the hot weather and I've just started to play around with clay so I'm new to all of this.
I really like you visual technique, however I would find it more beneficial if you could provide some verbal or written explanations of what you are doing. Thank you for showing and sharing. God bless.
It depends what you will be making, your climate, how strong your hnds are and many more. I mainly work with Fimo amd Cernit and strongly recommend you to read this useful article thebluebottletree.com/best-polymer-clay-brand/
Big disclaimer, I have yet to try this out with the right tool I just bought. But if you use an Exact-0 knife instead of a straight knife like in the video then it will turn out terrible, just heads up haha
Simple, elegant, beautiful. Thank you for an exceptional video!!

Great tutorial TYFS🙏
Thank you 👌
😍😍 love it.
Waaaaauuuu beautiful ,
Can u tell me which clay you use cause mine never stays so firm and the colours end up mixing together too much 😂 yours is so pretty
I always work with fimo or cernit :) Keep trying, I'm sure it will work just need more practise!
Thank you for the tutorial. How much clay do you use to make this ? Thank you
around 3/4th - 1 block of clay
Beautiful 😍
Amazing 🤩
Thank you ❣️
Thanks for sharing. When we want smaller petals we need to extend more the triangle?
Yes, just roll it to the desired size ;)

Seen these lovely canes and I wonder if they could be cut to size you want put a hole in and use them as a bead in jewelry making
Hi Denise. Thank you and yes I think you could use them as beads but in this case I would cut them slightly thicker to make them stronger for jewellery 😊
Thank you for your reply x
Wow 🤩
Can I still use one color to start? I am very new at this. Will it still look like a flower❤
You can still cut the petals and make it to a flower with one colour but doesn't make sense to make a cane with one colour :)
@@ArtbyNell i guess so remember i am new bare with me. Yours are so pretty
Amazing. How do you work with the clay without it being sticky. When I try it's always so sticky!
I don't find my clay sticky and I usually use fimo or cernit, what company you have trouble with? Have you checked how old the clay is? ;)

You can find some subtitles during the video, it's pretty self explanatory but in new videos I talk through so should be much better 💕
@@ArtbyNell Thank you
Pretty!!!
Neat! Thank you!
Love it
Subscribed🥰👌🏻!!!!!
Thank you 💓
Amazing!
Oooooo lallaaasas
cute!
Hi I want to know how to make a soft and smith clay
what is the best clay to use
It depends what you will be making, your climate, how strong your hnds are and many more.
I mainly work with Fimo amd Cernit and strongly recommend you to read this useful article thebluebottletree.com/best-polymer-clay-brand/
1000000 like for you
Hello, what is the name of this technique?
Cane making my guess is ;)
How do u called this method? 😇
Cane making I guess :)
Loves your hands and work, but it’s not simple for sure.
Maybe if you had watched more of the instruction than drooling over her hands.....
Nic vare nic good good
Thank you ❤
i tried so many tutorial and then i had mixed my clay through this one and then at the end it was ruined im sad literally
Maybe if you can explain what exactly is not working for you I can help, send me a picture or a video on Instagram @jenellstudio I'm happy to help 😉
Yeah I like the tutorial, but it's not simple enough for most beginners. You should see the disaster I created.
Please don't be discouraged, I'm sure you will get better after few trials! 😊
Big disclaimer, I have yet to try this out with the right tool I just bought. But if you use an Exact-0 knife instead of a straight knife like in the video then it will turn out terrible, just heads up haha
music made so distracting 😢
You can always turn it down ;)
