This RN really appreciates RDHs, including you Whitney! Oral hygiene and care is so important to overall health. You're spot on about the workload a nurse carries. The job is mentally and physically taxing. The money is better, but believe me you earn it. No lunch, no time to pee, on your feet 13 hours. It's a lot.
Here in Seattle area as RDHs we get really great pay. My former classmate is making more than her husband who is a nurse! I know some nurses do make more such as traveling nurses but our wages are great here
I’m going to the dentist next week and I’m looking forward to going I like going to the dentist and I like my dental hygienist Jess I’ve had her the last two visits
I would LOVE to be a dental hygienist or nurse. I'd love to make the dentist a positive experience and prevent fear. However my own fears mean my teeth are so wonky and unattractive, that i believe it may impact my ability to find a job as one, even after training. 😔
@@almondtarte I love both careers, but for some reason, I would like to be a registered nurse because I like to know things about the whole body, and to help people. 😍
You’ll be fine! Lots of my classmates needed work on their teeth and had cavities. My best friend in hygiene school needed fillings, a root canal and deep cleanings. Don’t let that stop you.
Hi! I have a white spots video -- but I don't go into ICON too much in it (but I should remake it and definitely include ICON)! It's resin infiltration that works in some scenarios and it's super conservative with no-drilling and no-pain! My best advice is to ask your individual dentist for more info regarding your personal mouth! If they are already saying that you qualify -- then that's great! Here's my video to see the other options after ICON (but ICON is the most conservative and a great place to start). Hope this helps: ruclips.net/video/p_Aysl09XtY/видео.html

I am a social worker and I have thought about becoming a nurse because there are more opportunities to move up and have a better salary.
I can listen to Whitney for hours straight
My sister is a RN and I’m a RDH 😆😆
Wow that's funny! 😂
What’s so funny about that? 🤔
@@pinkoceanflower3045 Just the fact that the subject of the video is about Rn vs Rdh, and then her and her sister are one of them.
@@GracelynKluksdahl-g5b ohhhhh. I didn’t know what an RDH was or is.
@@pinkoceanflower3045 That's ok! I didn't even know what Rdh meant till I actually found out! 😊

I am a nurse, and I am seriously thinking about making the switch.

I just dropped nursing school to do hygiene.
Do you like it so far?
How’s it going? You like it better?
Can i use thread as a flosser ?
Hey Whitney…
Can you please talk about the icon treatment, my dentist suggested it to me but I am not sure whether to do it or not 😣
