I thought I was listening to the 'Dance of Curse' song from Escaflowne, just at the very beginning, so I never listened all the way through. Now I did, and while it does sound similar to Escaflowne's OST, I now know it's not the same. Both pieces are so good. Unsurprisingly, I haven't seen any comments comparing the two pieces together. Konosuba is a super well known anime while, sadly, Escaflowne is not even close to being as well known. The only reason I'm making this comment is to get more notice to Escaflowne.
