This movie had me in tears. So glad those police officers were charged. It really speaks volumes on what’s going on today. Good acting as well. Come on maverick fans and give this movie over 1k likes. It deserves it!!

This was so hard to watch. Not because it wasn’t a good movie, simply because it was such a TRUE account of the situations we are faced with every day in this society. Pray the protection of our children from all hurt, harm and danger in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

This was an Excellent ,movie such as every other Maverick movie. You had me in tears, and I immediately started to pray
. This is Reality for our people, especially our young black youths. It tears me up. We need to get back our post! We need to take back our title. We all need to collectively come together and do what we need to. I can't even stop crying. It just hurts!!!!!

This movie has a phenomenal message! This can honestly pass for a base on a true story type of movie. Being stereotyped for your race and appearance is sad and disappointing. I hope this movie reaches the right law enforcement that has the same type of mentality, so that they can have a change of heart ❤️ and stop judging a book by its cover. All lives MATTER‼️🙏

As a activist in the St.Louis community it brings tears to my heart to watch this movie. We had a similar case here and justice was not served the officer and the system got away with killing our young brother. But this movie and George Floyd gives us a renewed hope for justice.Keep fighting family even when the adverse odds of oppression and persecution looks like it may not favor you.Grace and peace be upon all your communities and families ✌🏾👏🏾🤝🏾

Omar stick with drama. You are too great of a talent to be stuck on a tired comedy show on Bounce. As far as the movie. I'm 68 yrs old. I have seen my uncles taken away from home as a little girl and his sisters and brothers died without knowing where they were. It has happened for a long time. I thought getting into radical groups would help but to no avail. We are still in this fight.

Wow! This film have brother back a host of memories from the past to the present. I was born in the late 1950s into a family that was Nation of Islam, at least on my mother's side of the family. So I was alive when two of my mother's were members of the Nation of Islam's Temple #27 in Los Angeles California when on April 27, 1962 the police got into altercation with some of the members and ended up shooting 7 of the men, killing the Temple secretary Ronald Stokes. ( I'm sure that those of you who watch Malcolm X speeches from that time in America History have heard him talk about this because he personally knew Ronald Stokes and his wife). When the officer who shot him was asked that since the man had his hands raised up in the air (like someone who is surrendering or submitting) why did he shoot him and the officer said that he taught that he ( Ronald Stokes) was coming to choke him to death. That was his defense. Being in fear if his life gave him the Right to take the life of a Man with his hands Raised in the air. The officer got off free. The Nation of Islam members were charged. At least two are three others were in wheel chairs. And at least one of them who was known then as Brother William spent his life in that condition. One of my mother's sisters who was in the field of nursing help care for him while she was living in Los Angeles and a member of temple #27. I don't know if he is still alive or not but I was told that he eventually relocated to Atlanta, Ga. I would love to talk to him if he is still alive. Later in 1968 or 1969 another brother that we knew in Houston Tx, Third Ward known as Raymond who was about 17 or 18 years old at the time used to act as a "Big Brother" to us. He would take me and one of my older brothers and my younger brothers along with a neighbor who has no brothers or sisters to the summer program at the YMCA and Jake Yates High School. Well, Brother Raymond smoked cigarettes, so he always had this silver cigarette lighter with the flip open top in his hand. One day we read I. The news paper that Raymond had been shot trying to Rob a store. Well, All the Praises is due to ALLAH, Raymond survived the gun shots. When he got out of the hospital he came to our home to let use and our parents hear his side of the story straight from him. He said that he did not want them to be mislead by narrative in the media ( which they never really cleared it up after printing the false version. At least they did do it big like when they reported him as a criminal. Come to find out that some one has robbed the store prior to Raymond walking in and immediately the police arrived with guns drawn telling him to drop it. Raymond being confused in the moment ( not knowing about the robbery) was trying to figure out what the officer was talking about. He only had his cigarette lighter in his hand as usual. Suddenly he was being shot five times. He even.raised up his shirt and showed us his belly wombs where the bullets entered. And his side where they existed. I never thought about until I was sharing this story with a co-worker about a year or more ago and they said "I bet he got paid". Now these days people die and get settlements. And even though back then it happened occasionally, in the Fred Hampton case where he was assassinated by the police in Chicago in 1968. His family was awarded a settlement of over a million dollars. But I never knew if Raymond ever got anything or not. One last point. After embracing Al-Islam as a teenagers while in the military stationed overseas and reading the autobiography of Malcolm X and being familiar with the teaching of the Nation of Islam under it's then Leader Mr. Elijah Muhammad and then getting with the imams who were students of Mr. Muhammad's son, Imam Warithuddin Mohammed I have spent of most of my adult life going into prison sharing the teachings of Al-Islam based upon the Qur'an and the traditions t practices of Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah to whom the Qur'an was revealed to over 1400 years ago. So as one who has spoken to inmates inside of more than 50 prisons who served as a Islamic chaplain in the state prison system over a 30 year period. All as a "Full-time volunteer except for a year and a half when in which I was hired as a paid chaplain. But then I realized that they were given me Pay in order to Check me. That's why it is called a "Pay Check". It became clear that they wanted to used the chaplains to help pacify the inmates to help keep them from becoming aggressive whenever they want to rise up against inhumane and unjust treatment in some of these institutions. I am glad that this film showed what I have seen happen many times over. Many inmates embrace Al-Islam as well as the Nation of Islam's teachings like Malcolm X and so many more that we are reformed and come out being much better human beings than they were before they were incarcerated. Many become good Fathers and Mothers, Brothers and Sisters. Good neighbors and good clean, Honorable decent productive citizens. Family men and women. Like the young man in the film was on his way to be. Any criticism I'll keep to myself for now
Thanks for Sharing. As Salaamu Alaikum!!

Through most of us want to hate
and take revenge please remember what
Jesus Christ said through His preaching
    to forgive yourself and others
love one as you want to be loved
Okay to reply angry just not
Sinful angry and do not urge
confrontation but be mindful and aware
of one’s jurisdiction laws and be peaceful
If unsure to go with authoritative personnel
then cry out fire at the top of your lungs
People do not want what is theirs harmed
And will come out to investigate
Pray pray pray and know it might take time to forgive.
Everywhere is injustice bc of sin

If this is the truth about American law enforcement, then America is in a big problem.
