- Well, I'm finally back with my wrist still hurting a little from my motorbike accident. Im glad I'm now able to play guitar again. I really love this album, there is no song I would not enjoy playing! Thanks guys for following my journey.

@@CharliesMaidenCovers Took lessons? I play since 2007 and you're alot better than me. I am self taught and only taking learning scales shapes a year ago :D
@@jaroroytapel i was learning classical guitar on elementary school so i had some basic skills, but I can tell you for sure that I learn more in one year playing electric guitar and learning maiden, than i learned in 7 years of guitar school
@@CharliesMaidenCovers Same here since I forced myself to try and learn the Solo's from Flight of Icarus, something clicked for me and I jumped right away to learn scales.
Great song, I also bought the Jackson SDX Adrian Smith guitar, what pickups did you put in your guitar ? I have only switched out the bridge for a Dimarzio Super Distortion so far. The rest is still Jackson, do not know what to go for in the middle and neck, perhaps Fender Noiseless gen 4 "single coils"
I love these Iron Maiden songs like this song and Dance of Death and so on where all 3 guitarists gets to play a solo each :D
The last fast solo really sounds like something Dave Murray would play =)
thanks, i only upgraded the neck pickup for seymour duncan. you can see in my recent videos.
I have to correct myself, I just listened to this song again it only has guitar solo from Janick and Dave, that is the thing that is missing from this song I think that would have made it more complete, Adrian should have a solo earlier in the song.
Like they did with the Dance of Death song, first 2 guitarist plays a solo each after each other. Then they have kind of a melodic solo bridge then the third guitarist plays his solo so all three of them played a solo part each in one song.
That song feels very complete to me for that reason, all three of them have different styles so there should be more songs with all three of them playing a solo each.
Do you know if there are any more Maiden songs where all three of them has a solo part each in one song ?
It has to be from Brave New World or newer since Brave New World was the first album where Maiden played with all three of them, my absolute favourite guitar trio of all time
@@CharliesMaidenCovers Yeah you have a Seymour Duncan Hot rail in the neck right ? So the other two pickups are the original Jackson pickups then ? If that is the case I highly recommend you to switch out the bridge humbucker for a Dimarzio Super Distortion, it transformed my Adrian Smith signature Jackson to a whole other level.
Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge also matches/fits very well with the Seymour Duncan in the neck. Adrian has in 9 out of 10 guitars had Dimarzio Super Distortion in the Bridge.
Then he often chooses Fender stacked "single" coils in the middle and neck, where as Dave Murray often chooses Seymour Duncan hot rail in neck and bridge. But Super distortion Bridge and Seymour Duncan hot rail in neck is also very good!
I love it , you can hear in the intro in the backround when you are playing there are another guitarist playing bright almost shimmery sounding riffs on another guitar, that is Adrian Smith playing and strumming on Fender noiseless pickups. I have seen him playing it live that is how I know, classic Fender pickup sound, very bright strat like sounds
They start like 48-55 seconds in while you are playing in the background, so beautiful.
Adrian Smith has great taste when he is playing, he is very particular where he plays his notes.
