Ep.3 : This week’s The Swan Club is titled ‘An Accidental Encounter’. The members take a lesson for pas de deux, which is a dance duet with a male partner. Yoonah manages to surprise everyone by practicing repeatedly and performing in perfect harmony with her partner. Meanwhile, the members are shocked to be joined with the last new member of the Swan Club, Son Yeonjae.

the main purpose for this program is to let those who desire to do ballet but have no background on it. Jiwon is an exception because what she wants is a closer for her ballet career that was put on stop after her injury. Stop asking where's Mina. We get it that she does ballet and she's great.. But please respect these swans who are working hard fulfilling their dream.

Son Yeon Jae said that she always practiced ballet to warm up before doing rhythmic gymnast. I am surprised when she danced. There seems like there are so many similarities between rhythmic gymnast and ballet yet so many differences.
I am so proud of Yoona for her passion and dedication for ballet. she deserved the win. I am amazed by how much effort she did to keep her body and takes dance class.
Anh Ho yes there are so many similarities basic movement between rhythmic gymnastic and ballet but if you look more details about how they carefully move and hold their posture then you can see both are way too different.
Their workout is actually doing ballet before they grab their hoops, balls or ribbons, it was shown in a video later on that Yonjae went to her old rhythmic gymnastics class and was training with them so she'd know she still was flexible enough for ballet. Honestly, even my sister used to do just plain gymnastics but they also did a lot of ballet exercises there for warming up, that's why afterwards she joined a ballet class too 😁
I've fallen for this show. Don't cancel it KBS. keep it going -- push through the lower ratings and it'll pick up.
Warning to people who watch this it's actually recommended to have at the very least a pre-pointe assessment to see if your feet can take it and that you will be responsible with your pointe training. This is what is healthy or you could become seriously injure and it may even be permanent. This may have happend but we didn't get to see the footage just please remember to be safe.

Ok seriously I’m starting to get annoyed with everyone mentioning TWICE Minah to be on the show. This show is suppose to help those celebrities who never danced ballet (in Jiwon’s case, on hiatus for 8 years) be able to, and gain experience from what they learned throughout the show. I get that Minah has experience in ballet but that’s just offensive towards the current swans who are here to learn and enjoy. It’s like you are basically disregarding the swans cuz you want to see Minah. That’s disrespectful. Whoever wants to talk shit about my comment go ahead, but your excess cyberbullying and defensive remarks ain’t worth reading

Ha..What has this program done to me? When I first heard of it I thought "this could be boring but let's just check it out". Now I'm already on ep 3. It's so refreshing and the thing I like about it is their willingness to learn ballet, although most of them never learnt ballet before. I'm sure it's really hard (like, ballet is super hard to learn) but I love that they give it a chance and work hard for it. Even for that actress Jungmi. She really put in extra effort so that she won't fall behind since she joined later than the others. I'm definitely watching this till the end. Thank you KBS!!

This reminds me so much of sisters slum dunk! Some of them seem to be having a difficulty at first but as the show continues they eventually become great dancers. Chen xiao reminds me of somi, jiwon as minzy, jumi as hong jinyong/chaeyoung, yoona as yewon/sook but mostly yewon because she stopped singing as well and then made a comeback just loke yoona stopped doing ballet then also made a comeback and lastly seunggeun as jinyoug because xD

Everyone other than Jiwon should NOT be wearing pointe shoes. They’re obviously not ready and dancing in pointe shoes is something that should never be rushed. Chances on injury in them are really high and their feet are not strong enough yet to support them properly.

gaaaaah wearing pointe shoes and trying to walk in them before you've had proper training is a huge no no... they're definitely not ready for them, they could really do a lot of damage...
Christina D i think chengxiao, jiwon and yeonjae would be able to do pointe but the rest can't as their ankles will not be strong enough
aside from strong ankles, there is a lot of technique I think will be missing, unless they aren't showing in the show the importance of turnout, being over their boxes, and other techniques. I just worry they will rush them through it for the look and give the wrong image of how fast it is to get to pointe. Jiwon is the only one I would think capable of correctly doing it, since she did it before.
I think they took the class for the experience but it would be irresponsible to let them dance in pointe shoes when their bodies and technique are not ready, no matter how much they want to do it
In their ballet show the three of them did pointe shoes and even practiced in them for a while, and Yeonjae did it super suddenly, she originally planned to do it in normal beginners ballet shoes but then afterwards it was suddenly decided she'd do the Russian doll in pointe shoes

I would love to join something like this in real life. Ballet is one of the many things I wanted to learn as a kid. As a young adult, it would be fun to find a group to do adventurous hobbies or learn things like this together

I don't like that they put the noise of a baby crying over the woman saying the stretch hurts. Stretching can be dangerous and you should not overdo it, when someone says "it hurts, don't do this" the trainer should just listen to her. She is older now and she hasn't trained for a year so of course she has to start slowly to not hurt herself. I think stretching is often seen as something harmless, but people have damaged their joints and teared muscles doing it.

After her back injuries and surgeries, I doubt this is for her. I can’t imagine how much pain she must be in on a daily basis without having to do so much crazy back stretching during a dance.

They might be learning them without showing them on the show. As you know, the scenes that we see are only a few hours that they filmed in a day.

They used pointe shoes too soon but I think they had classes that weren't filmed, those were personal classes as their initiative to progress more. I hope it was enough to endure and use pointe shoes already.

I think she wanted to focus on her studies, that's why she's retired.
beginners shouldn't soften their shoes so much though, they won't have enough support that way
