I have cleared my RTA parking. In the first attempt cleared all 4 except Garage, have been looking in to RUclips videos, taking suggestion from friends nothing helped. Failed on 2nd attempt. I then decided to take a class, paid my institute and to my luck got a good instructor who explained me about reference point. Its not the same (black sticker) for everyone. It depends on your height, seat adjustment, seat height etc. I tried multiple times and fixed my own reference point. Took the assessment today and was spot on with my parking, all cleared now.. As pankaj mentioned in his videos you need determine which reference point best suits u and fix that. All the best.
@@shyro1316 mine was 3 finger distance from the starting point of the black sticker. But also keep in mind that I also fixed some reference point on the seat adjustment as well based on the recommendation from my instructor. So before starting I did the seat adjustment same to the same point I had in the training and during the parking when I reached the reference point turned the steering all the way and that's it. Spot on. But the same reference point might not work for everyone. My advice is get your own reference point set during training and follow the same.

Today I have cleared my RTA yard test.Candidates should be confident & follow the video instructions such as adjusting mirrors,follow rear side window while reverse & go slowly so that you can have control over your car.If you panicked then you won’t be able to pass the test .Signal lights,handbrake & parking gear should not be forgotten.Wish you all good luck guys.
Thank you sir i passed my rta road test in the first attempt. I recommend everyone to get the early morning time for the test like 7.15 am. The roads were empty and it was easier to drive.
@@jahanaraakhter205 I passed using the sticker one. You have to align your seat in a way you are able to see corners from the sticker. Don't rely on sticker solely, rely on adjusting seat first
I am a first time driver. 2 months ago, I took my RTA road test and passed it on the first time as well as garage parking and others. Actually, the only point that I used when I did the garage parking is make sure that the mirror is really down for me to see the lines before I go on reverse, and I did it perfect in just 1 time without any maneuver.
@@malihakhan5510 just be relaxed and show the examiner that you are confident. Keep on observing by turning your head on different sides and constantly checking the mirrors. Feel the gas and break pedals from the start so your driving will be smooth. Follow traffic signs only.

One of the important points mentioned in this video is to not turn car steering to the right side until at least half of the car is out of garage parking slot while making an exit out of garage parking as it may cause touching yellow line from right side resulting in immediate failure in garage parking test.
failed my first trial because of this mistake. parked the car perfectly but while exiting my car mistakenly touch the yellow line. i'm repeating my garage parking today and i will make sure that i will turn right side at least when half of the car is out of the garage parking.

yes you need to use indicator while exiting all parking (except slope and emergency brake test) or else it ll be counted as a minor mistake (-2 points).

This back sticker match the corner or better to cross the corner.... Because when my back sticker reach tge corner i take turn and it touch the line.... What u suggest
@malik usually its when corner is on sticker But in some cases it could varies 1-2 inches for individual because of the seat adjustment and height, so u need to find the right point for you while practice. Hi, plz help me, no matter what I do the shadow of the car touched the yellow line on the right. I’m short height so my instructor told me to cross two inches past the sticker and then turn full right but also sometimes depending on if I’m near the yellow dotted line at the beginning of parking then even if I’m on the sticker the instructor told me to turn! @Resham Said to know that.You only get Exit message once you put the car on parking gear and pull hand brake. May be you forgot to put the car on hand brake. Thanks for good information I think its better to turn after two fingers gap from that sticker if we turn from the end of sticker it will be more close to the right side .?? What do you say about this..?
One or two finger gap could vary from person to person as it depends on ur seat position (due to height of person). During practice figure out the best gap suitable for you. Moreover its better to keep close to right hand side as right hand adjustment is easy as compared to left hand. Or else u can use right hand mirror as a reference points.

When you see the parking corner line touches the sticker as shown in video ,but the key thing is to go slow and see how your car is entering the area if it is going wrong then adjust accordingly just before entering the bay , garage parking is all about adjustment
In 5.08 you say that you can do the reverse maneuver but in 5.20 you are saying you will fail because you have done the dry steering and reverse maneuver .. dry steering is understood but you have confused on reverse maneuver. so the question is shall we go front and adjust to park it correctly ? how many time it is allowed to go front and back

So I’ve been trying to get a driving license here in Dubai but I just failed my parking test today for the 4th effing time. It’s actually just garage/reverse parking that I keep failing and it’s really frustrating me now since I’ve cleared the rest of the parking types on the 2nd try. Is this even normal or am I just really dumb at reverse parking? The other girls I was with passed on their second/third try. I honestly don’t know where I’m going wrong. In classes I can do garage multiple times with no issues because I follow the points that my instructor taught me. But when it comes to the exam, I totally screw it up and don’t even manage to back into the space without hitting the curb on the other side. I feel like the starting positions are different between my classes and exam, so the points I memorized get all messed up. I just booked my 5th exam and seriously considering giving up if I fail again. It’s getting too expensive to keep paying for the exam and required classes. And it’s really stressing me out that I’m stuck in one type of parking and can’t move on. Any advice/similar experience? 😔

In Garage parking i am doing it with the instructor correctly but on the test i failed 2 times. i dont know if the seat position not correct ? @@mutaharsharrief i passed only on third try 🤣 so i’m not the best person to ask. as for my own opinion, i had 3 different rta examiners, the first one was very strict, the second was moody, the third was very quiet but considerate. the only i can advise you is review the road rules, be confident, do not feel intimidated by the examiner (i think they try to intimidate you as part of the exam to see how confident you are), lastly failing is not bad it’s a lesson for you, just think that if it’s meant to happen it will. Be positive with any outcome.

Guys, when doing the garage parking “ 90 “ my reference point is when the sticker meets with the corner of the parking, should I close one eye or keep both opened when I am aiming for the corner ?! If u know do answer me :) ! And thanks in advance
Both are good. Go with the the once which you practiced during classes. Side mirror one is easy but for that mirror need to be adjusted correctly. All the best.

There is no limit for smart yard attempt. However you need to pay yard test fee everytime.

One or two finger gap could vary from person to person as it depends on ur seat position (due to height of person). During practice figure out the best gap suitable for you. Moreover its better to keep close to right hand side as right hand adjustment is easy as compared to left hand. Or else u can use right hand mirror as a reference points.
So if two finger gap from sticker work for u than just remember that point while parking.

When you see the parking corner line touches the sticker as shown in video ,but the key thing is to go slow and see how your car is entering the area if it is going wrong then adjust accordingly just before entering the bay , garage parking is all about adjustment

In 5.08 you say that you can do the reverse maneuver but in 5.20 you are saying you will fail because you have done the dry steering and reverse maneuver .. dry steering is understood but you have confused on reverse maneuver. so the question is shall we go front and adjust to park it correctly ? how many time it is allowed to go front and back

So I’ve been trying to get a driving license here in Dubai but I just failed my parking test today for the 4th effing time. It’s actually just garage/reverse parking that I keep failing and it’s really frustrating me now since I’ve cleared the rest of the parking types on the 2nd try. Is this even normal or am I just really dumb at reverse parking? The other girls I was with passed on their second/third try.
I honestly don’t know where I’m going wrong. In classes I can do garage multiple times with no issues because I follow the points that my instructor taught me. But when it comes to the exam, I totally screw it up and don’t even manage to back into the space without hitting the curb on the other side. I feel like the starting positions are different between my classes and exam, so the points I memorized get all messed up.
I just booked my 5th exam and seriously considering giving up if I fail again. It’s getting too expensive to keep paying for the exam and required classes. And it’s really stressing me out that I’m stuck in one type of parking and can’t move on. Any advice/similar experience? 😔

i am doing it with the instructor correctly but on the test i failed 2 times. i dont know if the seat position not correct ? As the mirror we adjust it to see the hand of the door to be on the middle of the mirrir

@@mutaharsharrief i passed only on third try 🤣 so i’m not the best person to ask. as for my own opinion, i had 3 different rta examiners, the first one was very strict, the second was moody, the third was very quiet but considerate. the only i can advise you is review the road rules, be confident, do not feel intimidated by the examiner (i think they try to intimidate you as part of the exam to see how confident you are), lastly failing is not bad it’s a lesson for you, just think that if it’s meant to happen it will. Be positive with any outcome.

Guys, when doing the garage parking “ 90 “ my reference point is when the sticker meets with the corner of the parking, should I close one eye or keep both opened when I am aiming for the corner ?! If u know do answer me :) ! And thanks in advance

Both are good. Go with the the once which you practiced during classes. Side mirror one is easy but for that mirror need to be adjusted correctly. All the best.
How do i know when the car is well positioned to start the reverse?...what point will I use to know am well positioned ?
Check ur left side mirror and see if it's one foot step near the centre dotted line
I also had thz dbt....left mirror one foot rit but for right mirror wat is the reference point.... Whethr thr wont be any issue if we position too far

Yes but ref point could differ a little bit that you need to figure out during practice sessions.
