    Really enjoy this aspect of how to get to the point of epoxying. The mechanics of how to do this are concisely demonstrated. I always enjoy the smaller details, tips & tricks you've learned along the way to include mistakes such as watch out for how much hardener you use otherwise the Bondo will cure too quickly.
    Also, not sure if to there's a reason for not listing the other "how to" videos mentioned in this one, but it's really nice when those links are added to this one for direct access to them in the Description section.
    Thank you for making it a more comfortable process.

    That undercoat is awesome. I don’t even feel like you need a second coat. It goes on so smooth and nice. And besides, by the time you put tinted epoxy over it, you can barely see it if at all.

    You ever want/need to do a large home bar with a drink rail, and 4 matching 36” square tables . I’ll pay, just seems like a different style video with the bar having a drink rail. Looking to finish it in a blue/gray/white granite to match the theme to my St Louis Blues bar. Be ready to pour this fall.

    Looks amazing. I want to learn everything about epoxy. It's next level on building. That's for sure. Just so damned beautiful as well. I like the fact that epoxy makes whatever you're using it on waterproof. I want to make an epoxy floor in my RV bathroom with the ocean look and sea shells inserted into it. I have all the shells and everything being I live on the coast. I just need to learn the rest. 😜🤙

    For some reason I want to see someone try an epoxy pour mixed with something like the “super black” paint like black 3.0. Or maybe clear epoxy over that kind of paint?

    Can you do smooth edges with stone coat or does it just run off and to thin? Most granite I see installed in homes has nice smooth edges.

    Just asking questions yes it’s freakin awsome!!! But using all these tools and materials to make it is it really cheaper then one slab of granite?? Just curious am learning please help a new home owner out is there links in the description on what wood you bought I don’t like the speed ups but you don’t want a 4 hour video I understand lol thank you great video if I glued to plywood together then grabbed the bucket of bondo then sanding it after drying would that work ? Or is there more steps cuz the top I hard I think 😂😱

    I'm curious when and why you began using the grinder to make the live edge look. In the past, you used a knife to carve out the random shapes. The new way looks fine. I'm just curious if there are pros and cons to consider.

      @@seaotter52 I know, it's just that it takes a full sheet of MDF to make an 8 foot section. Is there a different product that wouldn't have so much waste?

    • @seaotter52
      @seaotter52 2 года назад +1

      @@TigerMarine62
      AFAIK there is no other option. If your experience is anything like mine, the scrap will be used to supplement future projects. Regarding built ins, because MDF has no grain, with a cut schedule, you can use a sheet and get the top, doors, toe kick, etc out of that 8x4. Imagine faux granite doors. Not my thing (prefer wood) but that's possible with this epoxy method. Anyway, with a bit of planning there's not much waste. I like people who don't like wasting resources. Good for you.

    • @TigerMarine62
      @TigerMarine62 2 года назад

      @@seaotter52 Thanks Mike, yes I figured I could use pieces for smaller portions of the top as well as for a bathroom counter which is smaller anyway. Actually, come to think of it, the kitchen top and bathroom top could come from the same sheet. 😎😎

      You have the right idea.. Also counters are not necessarily 25.5. Mine are 24.5 and baths are 21.5. Easily off a 4x8. You modify to make it work for you. Good luck
