East Boldon is on the Tyne and Wear Metro route between South Hylton and Newcastle Airport.
Network Rail own all of the stations between Fellgate and South Hylton. They are managed by operators of the Tyne & Wear Metro system.
Tyne & Wear Metro trains are the only services that stop here.
In terms of mainline trains, this station is located between Heworth and Sunderland. Northern trains between Newcastle and Middlesbrough regularly pass through.
