I mean for anyone whos studied basic geology (highschool level) these puns will be easily understood. He might have learned them in school but if he learnt geology in japanese its pretty impressive he learnt the english translations.
Aw, this made me miss my Grandfather. He was an engineer who worked the mines and was an avid fan of geology even at 96. He also made similar Dad jokes.
Double-Barrelled Simian Same, my Dad taught me everything I know about all the types of Geography and Geology I know, which is quite a lot. He was an analytical chemist in the biggest steelworks in the UK. We went out climbing in the Peak District every weekend so we learned everything about the geology of the North of England as well.
"Little murder chickens" 😂 Basically not that terrifying, but they would chew your ankles... like an annoying little dog, but with sharper teeth and feathers.

Wauw, I think Rachel is just about the only RUclipsr who can make a video about a trip to the museum so engaging! She just sounds so genuinely impressed and interested, plus her puns had me laughing the whole time. Amazing video, you had me invested the whole time!
I love how their gender roles are reversed. Jun does all of the cooking and traditional house wife jobs, while Rachel hangs around making corny rock puns.
Rachel actually is good at building and repairing things as well. If you've seen any of the numerous videos of her going back to America, she's always helping out with repairing something for her parents and Jun helps as well. There's also all the farm work they both do with Jun's family. They're both industrious people :)
Oh my god. I went to a geology museum with my boyfriend and llall he did was make puns about rocks too. He's laughing watching this, and I'm just crying.

I think the “dinosaur skin, Jun, dinosaur skin!” were actually plant stem impressions. They certainly reminded me some of some fossils from a paleobotany course I took some time ago. Yup, Cycadeoidea a cycad-like plant.
Going to museums is one of my favorite hobbies!! I’m happy both of y’all appreciate them too!!! BTW that is an amazing geology museum!! I love that I get to see places I will never get to visit through your videos!!!

Oh god, the puns... Also, I believe that fossil was an ovaraptor, which were about half the size of a velociraptor. Of course, since the ovaraptor was about the size of a chicken, the velociraptor still wasn't all that big. Yep the whole raptor family is just a bunch of murderchickens.
Oviraptorid species could get pretty big, dawg! :) Some of them were so big you could have rode them and also carried a large backpack of snacks and games. But yeah most of them were about the size of a german shepherd or a real big goose. The fossil she was pointing at when talking about the feathers was Archaeopteryx though, those were real small magpie size buddies. :)
