  • Attaching casters to a 4-post car lift can provide mobility and flexibility, allowing you to move the lift around your garage as needed. Here's a general guide on how to attach casters to a 4-post lift:
    Materials You'll Need:
Heavy-duty casters (with locking mechanisms for added safety)
Hitch Pin with handle and Cotter Pin (appropriate size for attaching casters)
    Steps:
    Prepare the Lift:
Make sure the lift is in the lowered position and securely locked. Make the lift as level as possible before attaching the casters.
    Attach Casters:
Place a caster next to the corner of the lift where you're working. Align the holes in the caster's mounting plate with the holes on the lift's pole base. Insert a pin through the hole, followed by the cotter pin to secure.
    Repeat for All Casters:
Move around the lift, repeating the process for each corner where you want to attach a caster.
    Test Movement and Locking:
Carefully lower the lift back down and test the movement of the lift with the casters attached. Make sure the casters move smoothly and that the locking mechanisms work properly to secure the lift in place.
    Test in Real Conditions:
Once everything is securely in place, test the lift by moving with casters where needed.
Please note that these are general guidelines, and it's important to refer to your Advantage manufacturer instructions for specific guidance on attaching casters. Safety should always be a priority during the installation process. If you're unsure about any steps, consider consulting a professional or seeking guidance from the lift manufacturer.

I've had my Advantage SS-11000-WD in my home shop for over 6 months now and absolutely love it! I am a retired auto technician, and have used every type of lift known to exist over the years, and I can say with total confidence that this is a very well made piece of equipment. I looked at everything on the market before deciding on this make & model, and IMHO you cannot buy a better lift...

That is so kind of you to say! Thank you so much for the kind words. We hope you continue to enjoy your lift for many years to come. 😁

Hi Bailey. So is there a quick disconnect or something for the 240 volt 20 amp motor electrical connection on the 11000 lift so that it can be moved? Thank you!

If you connect the 220 pigtail directly into your service panel, then you will not be able to freely move this lift, as it will need to be disconnected to be moved. If you place a 220v plug onto the pigtail, then you can plug/unplug this lift into any existing 220v outlet to make it easily moveable!

How do you store your castors

Right now, people are either just leaving them in a corner or finding another place to store them. We do have something coming out soon though which should solve that issue!
