      Snails can be quite inconsiderate. I embrace the bladder snails in my tanks, but at any given time I can find at least one poor snail with no less than 3 other snails riding him in each of my tanks.

    • @somerandomperson7223
      @somerandomperson7223 3 года назад +8

      @@taylor.annalise1 Depends. Although they may not require as much care as fish, they still do poop, despite people thinking they clean the tank of poop. If you’re looking for tank mates, it’s fine. If you can afford to take care so many lives, it’s fine. However, they reproduce very quickly, if you’re going to get them then you should prepare your heart to cull them if necessary. You should make sure your betta isn’t really aggressive or likes eating/fighting snails, because if it manages to kill one, not only will you now have dead snails but a maybe sick betta (because of the shell if they somehow try to eat it and stress). Make sure your snails don’t stress out your betta and make sure to clean the snails’ poop too. Snails are very cute, helpful and annoying, so while they do improve your tanks’ looks and health, they can also be a nuisance because they breed too much. Don’t be surprised if you find snails all over your house, your couch, your desk, almost anything (an exaggeration but you know what I mean)!

    I have a red betta just like this and he lives with a snail. It's hard to find any live aquarium plants in the country where I live, but he's got a pretty big tank and some rocks from the Black Sea in there. I guess it's minimalist, but when we move to the US I'm going to follow your steps and set him up a paradise. (Apparently pet fish can fly with you, and I'd never leave him behind)

    This video was great! I Love betta fish, and your tank is like a dream. I totally like your style, lots of real plants 😀( I hate the fake 😠) and Good stuff, no plastic or such bad. I love my betta so so much, hes a part of my family. I keep him in a 54 liters tank with a good warm pump, lots of plants and smaller rocks at the bottom and two algae eaters för some Company. My sister has a tank with two betta females, soon we will have some betta-fry (fish babies) again, loved the vid! 👍

    Beautiful tank. Can’t wait to build my own. Two questions though. I clearly saw you cut the roots off the bamboo, but when you placed them in the tank, they all had roots? Also what are the little lily pads floating on the surface called? Thank you.
