Not professionals?? Wow, I looked it up and they're primarily high school students. So that's what you meant by they're on their way to becoming professionals ^_^ couldn't agree more! And I guess they do look pretty young to be career musicians haha
I don't think professionals could have done it better. As Guild Wars 2 is a MMO, every nuance that they added is like a character affecting the world in some small way. So professionals probably would have made it sound to rigid. We shouldn't focus on what the kids aren't and instead focus on what they delivered us (something perfect the way it is).
Still loving this in 2019... and I just need to stress how much I appreciate that 'The Nightmare Court' (27:05) is actually a twisted version of the Pale Tree's 'Fear Not This Night' omgfsjksks
It's 2015, just came home from college, everyone in discord was pumped for the release. Updated the game, got into character selection and 0:25 played along with the new background. Good times.
it hits so much harder than the other themes, HoT is def the peak of gw2 music and probs the best expantion we have had, ive not been too happy with PoF or EoD
The way they did Attack on Tarir with the Burn Phase portion got me grinning like a mad man. I'm part of a guild that runs the HoT metas as a train and so I always enjoy listening to that track. It's a good motivator. The dire situation and urgency of saving the egg. They completely got that feeling down.
I remember how upset I was when they announced that they break up with the tradition and jeremy won't make music for the new expac. I remember how stupid I was back then! Saying this though, Attack on Tarir is one of my fav tracks from the soundtrack. I already miss Lena :/
I haven't actively played GW2 in a few years, but it was my main game during the HoT and PoF era... I have so SO many good memories of HoT (and to this day it remains one of my favourite game experience ever)... this orchestra is making so many memories come back, as well as giving me a new appreciation for the OST, which is so so good. Thank you so much ArenaNet for making this game ! And thanks to the Evergreen Philharmonic for performing this amazing reprise ;o;
Attack on Tarir is so good, also the best meta, Is so fun and stressful in a good way, winning the meta in a few seconds away from losing it due to south kills very fast, and the other areas must panic, one of the best moments of the game haha
@@Berkay-xl4hu WoW mostly has some amazing chill inducing vibes in it's cinematic soundtracks, the zones and other soundtracks have a lot of variety, Felwood has one of the worst ones imo.
Yeah, I find that it really gives you that safe feeling, sort off like a homecoming, up until this point you've been bashing plants for hours already and you really need a moment of complete safety which Tarir offers.

Gliding through Tarir entrance....Tarir, the Forgotten City plays on the background...while my eyes feast on that Golden esplendor, my ears are overwhelmed by such a beautiful melody...perfect expansion, proud to have experienced that masterpiece - and it's only ONE of the great momments in Maguuma ^^
Soule's work is beautiful, but kinda lifeless....then you hear the HOT ost and it have such a boom of life...it really catch the vibes of the jungle and life

The music of Guild Wars 1 and 2 has always been one of my main attractions to the game. The compositions are just wonderful. Great to see it played by a live orchestra!

I felt like this soundtrack was so underappreciated when HoT came out in 2015. I love it so much. It's unabashedly high fantasy, magical and grand, but the jungle theme (and the different instruments that come with it) makes it unique in a way. In the ambient tracks, for example, rather than evoking the freedom of exploring great vistas and wide open spaces, the music helps you feel the mystery and claustrophobia of being lost in the jungle. This is a videogame soundtrack that I actually spent money on, and it's absolutely worth it. Maclaine Diemer, Lena Chappelle, and Stan LePard created something beautiful here, and I hope to hear from them again in the expansions to come :D
