I must share the story So a few years ago, I was playing Guildwars, the standard edition and the Faction "DLC". After a While, my father comes to the computer as I was playing (Family CPU) and asked me "What is this?" I explained him the game in a nutshell and then he asked "Can I play or is it a single character kinda of game" I told him that there was some place left. He starts playing after I explained him the basic controls. After a few weeks of playing we got an extra CPU and my father Decided to get A copy of the game and 2 eye of north so we could play on different accounts at the same time. Man was it the greatest gaming memory I have to this day. He played the shit out of eye of north, we would spend an entire Week-end going through each missions and side quests, stopping to do quick chores and eat. The only sad things with this whole sotry is he didn't dig Guilwars 2 so I ended playing on my own through GW2. Unfortunatly, life goes on and with a full-time job, a Wife and a house to take care of, I can't put as much time and relearning everything with all the changes will take too much of my spare time. Fear not as one day I will return. Until then, adventure away my friends, choose your destinies and forge your legends!
My father has always been into classical music but has no interest in games. I told him to listen to a specific GW2 track at one point, I think it was either "A Land Restored" or "The Tengu Wall". Couple days later I heard the entire soundtrack coming from his room.
My dad got me into this game 7 years ago, he found thus game by his working buds, he stopped playing for some time and I sorta use his account now playing music with bells, like Temple of time, Beware of the Mushroom forest, and I'm startin to know a bit more peices when I mess up on either of the two peices
My father discovered this game when i was young and i explore this world with him. Since this time, i still play the first GW with him. Greatest memories make you who you are now. Keep fighting for what you love and stay prepared for the best to come.
After playing almost every "big" MMORPG, GW2 is by far the most fun to play, has the best soundtrack/ambience and the kindest community. After a long period of having no time to play I finally got back and I'm so happy. The game is so crowded and full of joy. I recommend it to everyone who is into mmorpgs.

AS do I... even years later, it still is beautiful, vast, and full of life. Truly a gem unlike any game I've ever played. I tried Neverwinter and WoW, but neither of them worked for me... Guild Wars will always have a special place in my heart
I didn't meet my wife on guild wars but we definitely bonded through the original game. Fast Forward over 15 years and we are still going strong, happily married, successful in life, children on the way, still playing guild wars and now guild wars 2. I had always thought world of warcraft would be the game I would consider the most influential in my life as I played it more with friends. Nope it was guild wars as all those old friends have moved on and my wife is still here exploring not only Tyria but life itself. What a great adventure. I can wait to see what's next for this!
Wow, what a story! All the best to you and your wife! I was hardcore WoW player, and as such - saw the principal decline after Burning Crusade. Leaving the game I really wanted GW2 to be my main hobby, but life turned differently. I never played it as much as I wanted, never got to high level. But still have lots of respect to it
I started the game when I was 9 and I'm currently 15, sophomore year. Been playing the game for 6 years and I still love it so much. I'll dread the day I go to college

or there are some people that "I played it. it's the same that the other MMORPG-s.. not so good". I'm not playing WoW or anything, but I can tell one thing for sure: the games has their story.. there are bunch of people working on them and even more people playing on them.. if you just doing it, not take it seirously that is bad.. Been listening to this for the whole month during my exams. It was really nice background music for me, thank you for uploading. Now I finally have time to play GW2!
This video hits me hard every time. Been playing Guild Wars since 2005 and I created a lot os good memories on it. It was with me through college, first job, marriage, military, and now getting my son to play it. Still playing it every night in 2024.
I joined Tyria at the start of the pandemic. The game was highly recommended to me by some friends. I was blown away by the intro to the game alone, going in blind. In a sense my main being a Sylvari makes too much sense. I just started existing in tyria, and I knew about as much of the world as my character did. I had awoken from my pod into Tyria. Tyria is a 2nd home.
Slightly longwinded, apologies: I came from 15yrs of WoW, and tried GW2 after a few months of no MMOs. Couldn't get into it. Hopped over to FFXIV, got hooked on their amazing story and began to take notice of all the little things they did in their world. About a year into that journey, I got the itch to go back and try GW2, and man I wasn't disappointed. After I got my head recalibrated away from the WoW "grind-fest" mindset, GW2 really showed me how to appreciate the amazing world it presented. Just existing in this stunning world became a treat, and I'm one of the people who actually likes and appreciates their approach to story content (yes even the OG storyline). After 15yrs of WoW and maybe 2-3yrs of GW2, I have more nostalgia for Tyria than I ever did for Azeroth.
Thank you for your nice tale Avrodin93 - I wish more people would give GW2 a fair chance as it deserves much more players than it actually has. I'm glad you are enjoying your time in Tyria. Btw, you as a Tyria enjoyer - do you think another GW2 Best of Mix with the 2 new addons would be a good idea? ;)
i loved this game , I played it for days (all while having 0 clue of what to actually do because i didn't speak english back then) now, so many years later, my computer broke down and im in college with having no money to pay for it. So i kinda just accepted the fact that i might never play it again. But i will always treassure the memories i made with this game :)
I am at university, studying to become a civil engineer and I have sketches of buildings and shapes that I must complete. These take me plenty of hours, so listening to this while sketching is the best. Of course I play GW2 too 😂
Playing this game for more then 6years now... and god damn everytime i do AB tarir meta event i'm just waiting for "Tarir, The Forgotten City" track to start ( 0:07:40 ) i love it so much and just beacuse of it, auric basin is my favourite HoT map :) ty dragonstar for nice compilation :)
I was in 10th grade when I started playing guild wars. It’s I’m now 28. And still playing guild wars 2. Only breaking to play destiny and other single player games. The ambiance of the games are the absolute best.
I never hit max level in this game since release but the music and atmosphere always stuck with me. Sometimes I log in just to level for fun and relax because of it.
Yeah, been sitting on like level 50s ish, only recently I decided to go full ham and levelled till 80. The starting zones are so... magical. With the music and everything going on in the world.
I remember getting the game for my birthday as it came out right on it! Wha a perfect way to start this relaxing mix with probably the best track on the OST. I should probably return for the two expansions as I only played the base game. This is only making me definitely want to come back to this beautiful game.
i'm so happy to find that's, it's making me so much nostalgi because this game is my life, wen i was just 6 years old i was watching my parents playing this game and today i play it everyday, this game is one of my big inspirations i never find best mmorpg than this one
I Joined in in 2018!, i played and i started to chill with people, those people later became my friend, we chilled in the grove, till they went offline, then i met new friends i played pvp with them did ranked, and unranked we created a guild togethler, 1 year later. my guild is dead, no one plays anymore, everyone saying they took a break or they quitted the guild rapidly declined because i was offline for 2 months everyone who i did PVE ranked unranked with guild missions were gone, some of the people i played with would come on once a week or months i still enjoy the game after SOTO release, no one really to play with anymore. though i got to make new friends through gaming in pvp. this game is very fun one of best MMO, and i think its my fav game so far.
ok, so i know that i'm kinda on the younger end, but i started playing gw2 when i was 8 or 7 (give or take) and the game's ost will never not be a major nostalgia fest. like everyone in my generation talks about the minecraft ost but dude, the gw2 ost is where it's at. i used to wake up at 4 am before elementary school, wrap myself in a warm blanket, and sit down at my dad's pc to play. these songs will never fail to bring me back to those simpler days. i picked up the game again over the summer, and running through those old maps again felt like seeing a place you used to go as a kid or revisting a town you moved out of, but nothing ever hits as hard as the gw2 maps. i know that's kind of the saddest thing ever, but ok lmao
I'm a grown man but I still can't hold back tears when listening to this soundtrack. So many memories are tied to this game over all these years and when I listen to the OST of the original game and HoT all those memories come back and I wish I could experience the game again pre HoT and right after HoT release yet again. This game has changed my life in so many ways. Edit: Yes, I know about the Jeremy Soule controversy but I really don't care/want to because his music is still timeless as he created many iconic OSTs from Elder Scrolls and GW2 to amny more. I also love how epic and masterpiece worthy the GW2 OST became with each new living story episode.
Thanks for sharing this story HNTR =) I'm also never sure what to do with the controversy... afterall the music still is a masterpiece. I'd rather blame the artist and not the art / music they created.
it will be a very sad day with the end to this game inevitably comes. let's hope it's not for a long time, and arenanet isn't far to bring it their next game.
Great ambient mix. The songs are relaxing and aren't distracting with drums and building crescendos. Definitely helping me through my IT certificate studies. Thanks!
@funinyourgame I know I'm 2 yr late to this post but I too started with GW1. The original didn't get me but the expansion Faction got me hooked and so I played all of them then). I played GW1 casually until GW2 was released. Life goes on and now with a wife, two young kids and a house but I finally managed to get my Skyscale just a couple months ago 😄. I'm 44 and still playing both GW1 and GW2. This game is special to me since GW1 was my first MMO. I'm so looking forward to GW2 EOD💯👍
Now see, I *could* try to study to this, but I would probably just end up thinking about Guild Wars all day… Edit: And singing along to Fear Not This Night.
That would be awesome, but I have to say, the composers they got after him (Lena Chappelle and Maclaine Diemer to name two) fill his shoes surprisingly well.
I'm actually sad abot the dislikes.. not just here, everywhere.. why is everywhere (except the almost no one watched videos) so many dislike? I mean.. if you don't like the game why are you here? or because you hate one of those musics? seirously??? the title says perfectly what is in the video, so what is your problem?
I really enjoyed Guild Wars, but I couldn't get into Guild Wars 2 really. I just didn't like the fact they had removed my favourite classes (Monk and Necro) and had locked skills to certain weapons. It took all the joy out of building the perfect playing build to your style of play.
Same here. I was a long time player of GW1. (Had Obsidian Armor on 8 chars for example and Arena rank 14) and I played Guild Wars 2 from day one. But jesus - I just couldnt get into the game. Made it to max level and my first prestige armor and then i quit. It was just not the same feeling. Not at all. And first of all the deck building mechanic just sucked.
Unfortunately, due to ever increasing amounts of copyright strikes in 2019, I stopped uploading new stuff, to avoid getting deleted. So at least the current uploads can still exist and be enjoyed for the future :) Thanks for sticking around and sorry for the lack of fresh stuff. Happy new year 2020 =)

You will make it some day
Soo much love for this game
I am at university, studying to become a civil engineer and I have sketches of buildings and shapes that I must complete. These take me plenty of hours, so listening to this while sketching is the best.
Of course I play GW2 too 😂
Ye should design a healing turrent :P

ty dragonstar for nice compilation :)
I was in 10th grade when I started playing guild wars. It’s I’m now 28. And still playing guild wars 2. Only breaking to play destiny and other single player games. The ambiance of the games are the absolute best.
I never hit max level in this game since release but the music and atmosphere always stuck with me. Sometimes I log in just to level for fun and relax because of it.
same
Yeah, been sitting on like level 50s ish, only recently I decided to go full ham and levelled till 80.
Yeah the two expansions are great !
i'm so happy to find that's, it's making me so much nostalgi because this game is my life, wen i was just 6 years old i was watching my parents playing this game and today i play it everyday, this game is one of my big inspirations
i never find best mmorpg than this one
Leaving Tarir is so beautiful, really tender and serene.
it absolutely is, one of the many great songs within the soundtrack 🥰
Heart and Soule. So many unique pieces of his here. Shivers.
Haven't played this game for years now, a lot of the music is new to me , but absolutely beautiful. Maybe I should revisit it in the near future ^^
I love how soothing & relaxing this is. When i read to this i get lost to time itself! This one goes straight to my background music playlist
Absolutely in love with this. Thank you for making it, its what I'll need to take on 2022.
This is one of my favourite videos in existence. Thank you for this
Thank you for your comment Sara :) Do you think I should make another one for End of Dragons? =)
By all means! These compilations help so many people in so many ways
This music is perfect for amateur stargazing :O thank you
Just stumbled upon this, wanted to say thanks for putting this together!
You're welcome =) glad you enjoy it
ok, so i know that i'm kinda on the younger end, but i started playing gw2 when i was 8 or 7 (give or take) and the game's ost will never not be a major nostalgia fest. like everyone in my generation talks about the minecraft ost but dude, the gw2 ost is where it's at. i used to wake up at 4 am before elementary school, wrap myself in a warm blanket, and sit down at my dad's pc to play. these songs will never fail to bring me back to those simpler days. i picked up the game again over the summer, and running through those old maps again felt like seeing a place you used to go as a kid or revisting a town you moved out of, but nothing ever hits as hard as the gw2 maps. i know that's kind of the saddest thing ever, but ok lmao
Nostalgia just comes more and more as you get older. It's always a nice, bittersweet feeling to remember the good times of the past...
I truly appreciate the background change with music track change.
Good work. You deserve more than 70k followers so I subscribed.
Love it when these kinds of compilations have changing pictures! Thank you!
I've never played to Guild Wars but I absolutely love this playlsit, thank you
Awesome mix!, thanks for putting it together :)
Thanks for enjoying it :) look forward to more mixes on this channel ^^
Great music to listen to while making a session of dnd~!
always in my heart, timeless masterpiece
so beautiful...start to dream...
I can't thank you enough for this collection : D
I love fear not this night the first song of this video
Yeah best videogame of all time mega nice
Yes
Nice mix! Good choice with the song order. Some of these flow pretty nicely into each other.
Great work mate, thanks a lot!
This game has the best music in any MMO, period.
27:06 That char has a human face. :')
this is soo good Path of fire was amazing
is guild wars 2 still active? this makes me want to play again
Yes very! New Cantha xpac recently got teased as well so more on the horizon.
And we'd all 'gladly welcome you home', when you arrive.
Pretty active! Come join us
*one* of my favorites is "the jungle provides" I'm just such a sucker for marimba!
Good compilation, thank you!
1:11:35 - Eir's Memorial
I think this title is wrong. The real song called Eir's Memorial is less than 2 minutes long instead of almost 4.
Thank you for this
You are welcome AlphaSierraBravo =)
A Land Restored always makes me feel like im playing Skyrim
its the flute
Blackgate for life!
Wow this is perfect
Now see, I *could* try to study to this, but I would probably just end up thinking about Guild Wars all day…
Edit: And singing along to Fear Not This Night.
Recuerdos desbloqueados 🥲
Amazing video!
Magnifico
Grazie Jorge Record
Very beautiful, and great scenes - Kudos to you!
Listening to this while playing Elder Scrolls Online :)
should work pretty well since both games (sometimes) share Jeremy Soule as their composer =) So do you enjoy GW2 while listening to ESO music? :D
Unfortunately no, I'm tired of ESO music after 4000 hours and I'm done with GW2 🤪
@@etrex5272 wow that is a respectable amount of time - I'm glad there is sooooo much to do in ESO =) any end in sight?
Das ist zu gut.
Danke :)
I used to listen to this while i cleaned the house, sometimes while i fell asleep. Recently i stopped. Too many ads.
I like everything in GW2 expect combat.
Blish's determination
For being a free to play. It’s quite the game
I feel it tops wow, and I actually switched out of Ffxiv because I didn’t care for it as much as GW2
Nice ! Darky.9234 waits for you to play with him ;)
Any link to the background artwork at 35:00 ?
Hopefully the news that Jeremy Soule will not work on the next Elder Scrolls games will give Anet the chance to hire him for future content.
Just for me as a reminder 1:40:30
Listening to this while playing ff14)
😍😎
I really enjoyed Guild Wars, but I couldn't get into Guild Wars 2 really. I just didn't like the fact they had removed my favourite classes (Monk and Necro) and had locked skills to certain weapons. It took all the joy out of building the perfect playing build to your style of play.
Necro is still there just a little bit different
/salute
34 people cried and got uncomfortable with their feelings.
For a relaxing playlist, this had way too many epic themes. Beautiful does not equal relaxing
Hello,where are u nowadays,I am worried
Where'd you go?
Unfortunately, due to ever increasing amounts of copyright strikes in 2019, I stopped uploading new stuff, to avoid getting deleted. So at least the current uploads can still exist and be enjoyed for the future :) Thanks for sticking around and sorry for the lack of fresh stuff. Happy new year 2020 =)
