    I like tha fact that they can introduce themselves to the public, and to give a little speech to them, a nice way to break the akward silence after the applauding

      That's actually one the main things the institute teaches! To truly connect with your audience and the music, you must strive to communicate every single note and breath within the performance. The speeches that the performers do before they play helps them achieve that.

    Love that Heifitz really treats the performances like real performances. Its really good for the audience.

    I think I recognize this Jin guy. Didn’t he participate in the Menuhin Competition a few years ago? Doesn’t he also have a sister, also a very good violinist?

      Yeah, he got 5th place in the junior division of the 2012 Menuhin competition held in Beijing. Idk about him having a sister or anything, tho.

      Ara Zaratsyan OK, I was thinking of Yeyeong Jin. I don’t know if they are siblings. Jin is probably a very common name.

      Erik Nystrom Yes, they are siblings. They were both supposed to compete in Menuhin 2018 (one in senior and one in junior), but Danny dropped out for some reason. Yeyeong didn’t make it to the semifinals, even though she did in 2016.

    1:52 이 조금 아쉽긴 했는데 그래두 이제까지 들어본 버전중에서 가장 좋은 거 같아요.

    Amazing :-) I play this work too and I often miss out the double stops at the end of the second page. Naughty.. this is such a great playing. I really thought your rubato at the end of the second theme was very tasteful. Excellent virtuosity. Heifitz would have been proud

      U should start with a major if you’re on a violin. C major is mainly for piano

      Pia both is ok. As long as you start on an open string key. Like g, d, a and e

      @@luigi8414 if you start on the e string, you have to play in upper positions in order to get a full scale. I, personally, would recommend to start on the g or d string.

    Those artificial harmonics... I'm no a violinist (a pianist, but I wish I could play the violin as well) but I know that getting the harmonics this clear is *really* hard...

      harmonics are not as hard as people think (at least not as hard as those double stops) they’re just regular notes but you just press lightly on the string and use slow bow

      What? Christian Li's performance of this piece had many technical issues, and lacked sense of musicality. Yehun Jin is much older than him, and therefore as much more musical maturity. There is no sense in comparing a music-school student to a 11 year old.

    interpreting a kabuki theater play. He calls the music cheesy and this tells you everything you should know about his understanding of the most sophisticated European
