    Could you please explain the main idea of that exact fortress/place? Why you decided to place it there? What is the goal of the fortress going to be?

      I thought I summarized the goals for this season at the beginning of the episode? Anyways here goes:
      I roleplayed the reason for this landing spot as a demand from the Humans to only settle in the lands they haven't claimed yet. And it happened, that the ideal logistical spot had no metals whatsoever. So that's part of the challenge.
      We want a fort that can fend off enemies but this time without any cage traps. Importing metals / smelting Goblinite is absolutely okay. But I want a defense system that works and keeps enemies away. Roads to the Humans, Sandwalls and deeper into the West are ought to be built.
      And I want to kill off two Goblin Encampments South of my fort which belong to the Goblin Faction which took our homelands.

      Of course! Dwarf Fortress has inspired so many timeless classics we all love. This game has a lot to offer if you love sandbox games.

    While I like the LP, your absolute terrible workshop floors is a bit of a let down.. it would be so much better if you actually put some thought into it, you rush too much for no reason.

      Meh, why make it sound so harsh? It's all a learning process. If anything I do things cause I cannot improve everywhere at once while recording this stuff.

      @@Ic0nGaming That's not the point really, you could at least make some effort on the initial rooms :) As in, pretend that the dwarves were trying to make something rather than just massive 16x16 rooms with everything scattered around it. It's just a bit of a let down as for example the keep in the previous LP was nice (underground was also decent, besides the workshop floor).
      The same goes for some of the temples, just random blob shapes. I guess my point is that there isn't really any design going into it, it's more like "excavating and see what happens" :)

      Don't get me wrong, your LPs are good! But they have the potential to be Great with some more purpose to the madness:)

      @@NidarosLP Well, you misunderstand me why I'm doing what I'm doing. It's not rushing it's just being overwhelmed by the detail level. That's why I feel a bit pissed about your assumption of me just winging it. DF just has bagillions of things you could do. I can't learn everything at once. I can't perfectionize everything at once. If I'd play like you wish you guys would get no daily episodes from me, cause I'd be stuck in Imposter-Syndrome and neurotic designs even more than I already am. The recording itself is way more demanding on the brainload than it looks like, is all I wanna say.
      Sure, you think I'm just lazy or whatever and you do you. I'm just saying that making all the things look nice while recording and narrating is more than I currently achieve. It's a work in progress and if that's terrible for you, meh. Can't help it.
