For the T.Rex comment about how it’s built, T.Rex’s ancestors had bigger/more useful arms but eventually through millions of years it stopped needing its arms as much since it could get away with using just it’s jaws and thus eventually reducing the size of the arms
The guy driving the jeep when they see the Brachiosaurus in the beginning isn't working against anyone. Im guessing you think it's Dodgeson, but no, it's not.
They legit could have used the same actor though. Think about it. Bit parts, you get one or two lines, and then a non speaking role. Two for the price of one. And this is way before the JW series was even thought of. So having the same actor play both bit parts makes sense. Especially for 1993.

Your reaction at 37:41 is exactly what I was waiting for. Watched this movie back in the days with my little sister and that's the part that got us both 😅🙏🏾
The mosquito blood thing isn't possible, because the blood cells would decompose over time, but there have been dinosaur DNA samples of certain species found preserved in glaciers. It would've made more sense if they used chicken or duck DNA to patch the gaps in the Dino DNA. Grant said in the beginning that dinosaurs are more closely related to modern birds than reptiles. Female birds have 2 ovaries: one on the right that is fully developed and functions, and one on the left that is an underdeveloped clump of cells that doesn't do anything for most birds. In many birds (including domestic chickens and ducks), if the right, functional ovary dies due to an injury or infection, the left ovary develops into a testes, resulting in a complete sex change including plumage, call, behavior, and even reproduction. It happens surprisingly often with ducks, if you hang around a duck keeping Facebook group long enough, you'll see people complaining about their ducks "going drake". It's generally considered a negative in poultry because males don't lay eggs and they're territorial, so if you end up with too many, they start to fight. It just would've made so much more sense in the context of the movie and reality.
i mean. . hammond wasnt entirely wrong. they did have fairly good control over the park(breeding not withstanding). . the ONLY reason this situation failed so completely is Nedry blowing out the whole system
What's crazy is when people are so absolutely stunned that someone hasn't seen a certain movie. There are literally millions of movies out there in the world and not one person on earth has seen them all, even if they are "the most popular" or whatever. Also, if you weren't born in a certain era, these movies are like "vintage" now (anything over 20 years), so you've got to introduce them to generations beyond that, that may not have even been born when they came out.

Not completely depended on as it is now. I will never forget feeling the steps of the T-Rex as the water ripples... One of the greatest cinematic experiences ever. To think Spielberg was working on this and "Schindler's List" at the same time...
in the moment the Lawyer sees the first dinosaur, he immediately calculating risk cost and comes to the conclusion that this is such an amazing and world changing invention that any accident that occurs from the park will be worth paying for the profits they'll make companies do it all the time when they decide to push through with a product that has safety concerns because it would cost more to fix it than it would be to pay off any lawsuit

Michael Crichton wrote the book this movie is from. It has a "theme park" element to it, like his other book called "Westworld." And that one was made into a 1973 movie, and also into an HBO series more recently.
Yes, it's possibile to extract paleo-DNA from mosquitos trapped in the amber, and that's exactly what they tried in late eighties, but they encountered the missing part of the code issue. Crichton wrote Jurassic Park being inspired by that experiment, inventing the frog DNA can complete the code.
Hi there, I haven't gotten far into the video as of typing this, but I'm really enjoying your reactions and wanted to answer a couple of your questions! No, it would not be possible to extract dinosaur DNA from a preserved mosquito, as the DNA would have decayed by then. However, it IS possible to "fill in the holes" of DNA with other creatures DNA through gene editing, and this has been done. For instance, there are goats that were genetically engineered to create spiderweb silk in their milk.
From the way it sounds I think that Mair would really like Universal Studios' Jurassic Park ride LOL, also too though here are a couple of fun facts about this movie; firstly about a couple of people in the crew who worked on this then became much more famous afterwards for other reasons the guy who made the animatronics inside of the live action dinosaurs was Grant Imahara the Japanese American guy from Mythbusters who also did the same work on R2-D2 for the Star Wars prequel trilogy and the guy who sculpted the clay maquette models to be scanned in 3-D for the CGI imagery of the dinosaurs was Adam Jones the guitarist of Progressive Metal band Tool... secondly about some biology this movie got two things completely backwards in that herbivores are often more dangerous than carnivores in real life because the latter will only really go after you if they're hungry or you're a visible threat whereas the former view everything as a visible threat given that they're the ones the predators usually prefer to eat and also the whole thing about keeping absolutely still because the Tyrannosaurus Rex's vision is based on movement would absolutely have gotten them eaten given that in the years since this movie came out it's been scientifically proven T-Rex had the largest eyes of any theropod dinosaur along with probably the best vision of all dinosaurs ever known XD

Can't believe I was going into 8th grade when this came out. My daughter is a HS freshman and my son's a junior at Purdue. Time really does fly.
same. we are old heads now lol
It turns out Spielberg was going to add the scene in, when Arnold was supposed to bite the dust onscreen, as he told the AV Club, "I was actually supposed to go to Hawaii, to shoot my death scene. But there was a hurricane that destroyed all the sets. So, I didn't get to go to Hawaii. So, this was why Jackson's death was cut.
Im pretty sure Dodson wasnt the guy driving them in the jeep.😂
They legit could have used the same actor though. Think about it. Bit parts, you get one or two lines, and then a non speaking role. Two for the price of one. And this is way before the JW series was even thought of. So having the same actor play both bit parts makes sense. Especially for 1993.
If Dodgson had infiltrated the park then he wouldn't need Nedry. Logic escapes some people.
Something tells me they aren't gonna be the type of mates seeing 3 movies later and notice certain familiar dinos or things.
Watching this back in 1993 in the theater was a wonderful experience! The whole place just shook.
If you think that this is horror, then proceed with caution if you decide to read the book. The movie is watered down and less graphic in comparison.
I feel old as hell because I've seen this in the theater I was like 5 years old but still LOL how this shows up on my algorithm I don't know but I'm happy you guys are watching it it's such a crazy movie. A classic.
Soph was asking if dinosaurs are real?!?!? That car chase with the TRex was a new fear unlocked for, she hopes they weren't real now 😂😂😂
Bruh what? Did you just ask if he was controlling the storm?? I’m deeeeead
You’ve never seen/heard of a triceratops?
"but there have been dinosaur DNA samples of certain species found preserved in glaciers" No there haven't lol.
Very satisfying reaction to this movie 😂 I ll be looking forward to rest of the series ❤ good going guys !!
Im 100% in agreement with Dr. Grant, I dislike kids immensely 😂
i mean. . hammond wasnt entirely wrong. they did have fairly good control over the park(breeding not withstanding). . the ONLY reason this situation failed so completely is Nedry blowing out the whole system
Its funny watching this younger generation watch movies and come up with situations 😅. I lol big time at controlling the weather
The music by williams is incredible! The film is still better than any of the world films
I’m glad you know it’s Jurassic now haha.
6:20 yall are adorable 😂
My favorite part of this film is Dr Malcolm being the voice of the audience. “What are yall thinking…? Hello!!??”
Love your reaction!
This is one of my favorite movies! 🦖

This is a certified childhood classic😭🔥 this is what got me into dinosaurs and then godzilla after that, started off my whole movie taste with this one. Crazy how the effects still hold up 32 years later.
I saw this in a Drive In theater back in 1993 when I was 5 years old and it was both an incredible and terrifying experience lol. Such a classic.
That electric fence couldn't kill a 70 pound kid....but it's gonna stop an 18,000 pound T Rex? 🤔
It wouldn't kill the T-Rex. It's just a deterrent.
Dinosaur taser. And it did kill him until he got CPR.
It DID kill a kid. Luckily, Lil' Timmy has military grade plot armor And the fences weren't supposed to kill ANY dinosaur. Or it would have fried the raptors the first time they attacked the fence. muldoon said they attacked it several times.
@@DrJohnnyFever.
I didn't say it would kill the T - Rex....I said STOP an 18,000 pound T Rex. If it cannot kill a 70 pound kid it cannot STOP a T Rex.
Learn to read.
Reading is a deterrent to stupidity.
@@DrJohnnyFever. CPR cannot save you if you have already been killed.
"Sorry, but the insurance actuary''s report will be delayed. Unfortunately the first actuary suffered a tragic T-Rex accident. Sincerest apologies for the delay."
In the original before the movie was made it was supposed to be Rated R, but it was changed later on. But there are some scenes that were cut. But honestly the Book is way more horrifying than the movie.
Michael Crichton was a big researcher in science. He was the author of this book
Chrichton also wrote "E.R," as he finished medical school.
@VineVitumEt5 i enjoyed the terminal man as a physical therapist
I saw this in the theaters when I was 8 years old with my dad. Let's just say that was a very tiring next couple of months for my mom.
You don't think dinosaurs existed??😮
where did they say that?
@@arifeannor9573 23:44 "I don't think dinosaurs existed"

I'm a big fan of Jurassic Park, my favorite movie of Unuversal ❤🦖 and I learn about dinosaurs from 4 years old😊
Yes Ma'am 😍 Jurassic Park Amazing Movie 😍 Remember the part where the really mean old guy who selfishly left the poor kids desperately Scrambling trying Soo hard to hide 😥 save himself and Oops 🤭🤣 Rexy 🦖 knocked over the restroom exposing him Bites him up Eat Gobble him 😋 lol it was actually Really funny wouldn't you like kinda agree with me?

28:31 This scene and THIS Little asshole Dino scared me more than the T Rex did, as a kid 😅
Imagine working on this and Schindler's List at the same time.
24:11 The eye dilating still looks badass 🔥
It's a great example of attention to detail on something that probably nobody would have noticed if they hadn't done it.
The scene with the T-Rex roaring and the flag falling “when dinosaurs ruled the earth” iconic
Ah yes, Jurastic Park
I'm loving how Sophie keeps picking up the traces of things from the book that don't make it into the movie. Yes, Hammond is a business-minded jerk in the book. Yes, Wu is extremely concerned about the integrity and genuineness of the dinosaurs, in the book.
I’m not trying to be mean I love your channel! But I’m glad you’re done with that show and getting back to movies 🎉
5:08 "Dodgson!..." 😂
Jurassic Park 2 is great as well. Please do that one.
I HAVE BEEN TELLING PEOPLE THIS IS A HORROR MOVIE
If you ever end up reacting to Toy Story 2, there is a very quick but funny reference to this movie.
I have so much I wanna write, but I won’t. I’ll just ask, did y’all really believe that Nedry, the fat traitor employee. Did y’all really think he caused the storm? Please tell me y’all was joking with each other & messing around. Please tell me that…..😂
I saw this 6 times in theaters, that's how epic it was. I already loved Dinosaurs as a kid but this was mind blowing. When CGI was relatively new and was blended beautifully with practical effects. Not completely depended on as it is now. I will never forget feeling the steps of the T-Rex as the water ripples... One of the greatest cinematic experiences ever. To think Spielberg was working on this and "Schindler's List" at the same time...
Stephen Spielberg is a super master anything you watch of his is fantastic
in the moment the Lawyer sees the first dinosaur, he immediately calculating risk cost and comes to the conclusion that this is such an amazing and world changing invention that any accident that occurs from the park will be worth paying for the profits they'll make
companies do it all the time when they decide to push through with a product that has safety concerns because it would cost more to fix it than it would be to pay off any lawsuit
This reaction was kinda hurtful to watch
When they asked "What is that?" When the Dilophosaurus spits at Nedry, or when they ask "How fast can the T-Rex go?" Its like they weren't even listening.
Made me mad. I couldn't finish it.
@@krisfrederick5001it's like they are 6 yr olds
Nah, what did me in was them saying Nedry was controlling the storm 🤦🏾♀️
@@bjtight98 right, cause where that came from?
There are two more Jurassic Park movies and then 3 Jurassic World movies. You need to see them all, in order they came out.
I think it's hilarious that employees removed the jelly, icecream & other cold foods coz the power went out!😅 The fridges stay cold y'all, takin stuff out will MAKE it go bad!😂 Great movie, funny af reaction!😜💚🇦🇺💜
Michael Crichton wrote the book this movie is from. It has a "theme park" element to it, like his other book called "Westworld." And that one was made into a 1973 movie, and also into an HBO series more recently.
Please continue with the series, they’re all worth a watch
Nedry is not trying to destroy the park LOL. He is trying to turn off the security so he can get to the doc undetected.
Imagine being six and seeing this in theaters😂. I had reoccurring nightmares about dinos until my 20s 😂😂😂
20:44 he was talking about his escape route to the boat. Later on he messed up by hitting the sign and he went the wrong way
