- We visited Emerald Park, Ireland's only theme park and zoo! In this vlog, we experience the biggest rides the park has to offer as well as trying to tick off the new roller coasters that have been built at the park. Since our last visit, the park's name has changed from Tayto Park to Emerald Park, three new coasters have been added and the infrastructure of the park has grown significantly.

Great vlog guys, have never seen this park before so it’s interesting to watch. Hope Becca feels better soon!
Thank you 🙏 It’s still a relatively new park that is easily missed, hopefully their new coasters will get their attendance figures on the rise again 😊
Great info given in this video. Makes the BPB pass even more appealing.
I think there’s the chance to get insanely good value out of the BPB pass
Great vlog with some good povs and some helpful info. Looks to be some decent planting up and theming going on for some of the rides. 👍
Thank you 🙏 It’s great to see the park improving, and we can’t wait to go back next year but on a quieter day!
@@yourexperienceguidedefo we went today since 2020 it was much quite there was only 400 ppl which was good
Loving the vlog so far. Becca, I hope you're feeling better soon!
Thank you, we'll hopefully know the extent of the issue in a few weeks time
@@yourexperienceguide No doubt! Sending best wishes all the way from Southwestern Canada.
@@corkscrewfoley Much appreciated
Brilliant vlog
Thank you!
Good to see you both visit Emerald Park , i remember when it was called Tayto Park and seeing trips with daz who vlogged it then but good to see how it looks now Scott 👍
Thanks Chris, it was good to get back to the park
It feels so dirty to see the place without Mr Tayto everywhere.
Ye
Yeah but there was very bad reviews abt it then and the man was elderly and he could do anything and the new man in like prob in his 30s and he can take care of it and theres good reviews
That food looked nice good blog again
Thank you, enjoyed the chicken burger
This vlog turned out rather good despite the events that happened out with your control i.e. queue times and early flight time home. Looks like a great wee park. The point Becca made about the lack of in indoor eatery for a hot drink to get away from the hustle and bustle of the park noise is spot on. You need somewhere to relax for half an hour to recharge.
Also, are those wooden rollercoaster trains made by Meccano? Ha ha!
Thank you 🙏 We were stressing the vlog would be short and terrible 😩
Those trains are “Timberliners” from the Gravity Group 😆
The reciprocal admission arrangements with a selection of other theme parks for Blackpool Pleasure Beach annual pass holders are incredible 👍
It’s excellent
Always wanted to visit here and will get over there when the new coaster opens - shame about the disruptions - saw you the other night by Valhalla
Hope you enjoyed Pleasure Beach, and thank you for watching!
Great vlog! I had no idea this was in Ireland! I would definitely have stopped there the last 2 times I was in Ireland. Next time!
Thank you 🙏 It’s definitely worth a visit
Hey guys, delighted to see you back in Ireland at Emerald Park and glad you enjoyed it. Pity about the queues, it can get very bad and so frustrating waiting for family coasters for so long. The park does look a bit tired in places, even the flags on Cu Chulainn's lift hill are ripped to pieces, and up until last summer when I was last there it was grubby with a major litter problem but it has come a long way since the early years. Hopefully the new Vekomas will see a whole fresh revamp and lease of life for 2024! And yes, sadly our amazing Cu Chulainn is turning into a very uncomfortable ride. 😒
Hello 😊 It was great to finally get back after 6 years, should have planned it better considering the crowd levels etc. Cu Chulainn was bearable at the front but at the back it was unpleasant and would definitely benefit from a set of PTC trains with padding.
@@yourexperienceguide New trains would be the key but I can't see them investing. Money has to be tight with no main sponsor and the Tir na nOg expansion coming next year. But yes badly needed. There is one particular jolt around the mid section that is just unbearable now.
@@AudreyMealiff Think I know which bit you mean, it was like getting punched in the ribs.
@@yourexperienceguide yep, every time! It's not fun
I have been looking forward to this - I thought it was all about the big coaster but your video has shown (mostly!) that there is a lot more on offer, some great audio on or around rides too. Decent food at great prices just one thing definitely I won't visit during school holidays. Might make it an overnighter but next year this is definitely on the cards now - thanks for showing as much as you could and at least you did get home eventually, when doing it on a tight budget I always fear we might have something like that happen - that's where package holidays like we do to PA give me a sense of security.
Thanks Kevin, I’m definitely going on a term time weekday in future 🤣
We got back to our house about 1am the next day
@@yourexperienceguide ouch - checking it out right now longer season there than I thought
@@kevinseymour8793 In ‘16 & ‘17 we went on the first Saturday in September and everything was walk on, but the park has grown up so much since
Hi Scott, glad you got across to Emerald Park. Was looking to head back in a couple of weeks but might just wait till next year. Always tempted when I'm over in ireland on holiday to pay a visit. If its any help too...Think the park are doing a big drive in September for school groups so this may be causing increased queue times. Sure I read it somewhere. Hope to see you guys soon 😊
Really enjoyed being back there, but will definitely pick our day more carefully next time 😅
If you're able to go for when it opens I recommend going on the little coasters and Viking Voyage first as most people come in and go straight to Cú Chulainn. Usually on a busy day it starts with one train then they add another when the queue gets long at around 11am, so then the queue decreases. Glad to see you guys enjoy your day (mostly lol) in Ireland 😊
It was definitely a mistake going straight to Cú Chulainn 🥲 Thank you 😊
@@yourexperienceguide no problem, easy mistake to make, it's a good coaster 😊
@@chloe_louise123 Too eager to get back on it 😂
The lodges carvery food is gorgeous and very niche to theme park food options.
They have coffee aswell , you should try it some time
We gave it a try in 2016 but none of the food was good for two picky people with dietary issues. Not the park’s fault of course but that’s why we avoided it.
great vlog! that Rotator ride did used to go all the way over but people moaned so they stopped it which doesn’t make any sense
Thank you! I can’t remember if it went all the way over or not in 2017
Great vlog. You should do travel vlogs. 👍
We’ve done a few this year but the viewership hasn’t been great
Nice hat Scott.
Thanks 🙏 I’d like an Intamin one for the collection too lol
Great Irish park . Lovely rides and POVs .Love a tayto crisp now and then. Sorry to ask does becka have a bun in the over hense can't go on rides ? Only caurious
It’s a good park, growing all the time.
Definitely not another child on the way, unfortunately Becca’s sustained an injury that’s kept her off work for a while and restricted movement until the last week or so. It’s caused a bucket list trip to be cancelled too.
That woodie looks like it puts Wickerman to shame.
Catering.. have you guys seen the new Coaster Studios visit to Blackpool and their food? Holy hell its horrific.
One is a family coaster and one a thrill coaster 😅
I commented on the CS video, food looks dreadful!!
hope beckers injury gets better soon so she can go back on theme park rides
Probably looking at later on this year before there’s a clear idea of what the issue is 😳
Should've said you were flying out of Liverpool, I could've easily undercut JLAs food prices.
Sounds like a good idea for next time lol
How did you get from the airport to the park?
Hire car
Scott, have you been on The Voyage or Hades 360? Those are the only large scale gravity groups that I’ve been on. Wondering how Cu Chulainn compares - if you know
Hi I’ve been on both (there’s vlogs from both parks on the channel 😉)
Voyage is easily the best of those three, Hades is horrific.
@@yourexperienceguide perfect, I should’ve known. I’ll check them out, thanks!!
Did u ride Viking voridge with the new boats
Watch the vlog for the answer 👀
Does emerald park AP holders get free admission to pleasure beach ?
I'm not too sure sorry
From that back row POV that wooden coaster looked awful
GoPro stabilisation was working overtime 🤣
3:13 ik u didnt go on it that was on yt and no one was screaming cus only one person was on it taking the vid to make sure its okay for ppl coming later to go on u just voiced over there would be ppl screaming
What are you trying to say?
You should go to Ferrari land
In Spain? I was there for the first ever day 😃
