Why are all japanese people always better than me ... at everything!? This is one of the best things I've seen on youtube, hands down ... You are AWESOME Jake ...
jake is truly awesome. he is a great player and an awesome person. he performed at swim meets i participated in numerous time free of any charge. you can tell he truly loves to play
I can't help but to think that songs with words are so much more beautiful and says so much more than songs with words. This is a great representation of that.
That was an amazing performance . Who knew you could get that much range from whats generally referred to as a toy more than an actual instrument. Very impressive.
If ever the fait of the human race was in the balance due to our ability to be unique and have the talent to be "wonder" full. This would serve as great testimony that we are, and we can be. Thank you Jake and thank you Freddie Mercury.
Ok I know the whole "make a comment about the people who hit the dislike button" thing has grown tiresome; but seriously whoever did that on this video has absolutely no clue about music. I think it's safe to say the guys in Queen would be very proud and impressed with this beautiful, flawless performance.
Very few days go by that I don't think of Freddy Mercury, but it's performances like this that make it even more difficult to accept that he is gone. Imagine how happy he would have been to hear and see such wonderful homages on youtube. Thanks for your fantastic work.
your comment is kinda funny bc I’m from brazil, and here BR = Brazil, so I saw your comment and it was like “why the best performance of brazil??? He’s Japanese!!”
Wow man! Pretty excellent arrangement and flawless execution. You Da Man indeed. I bet Freddy and Brian smile upon both you and Edgar Cruz for so perfectly interpretting their music.
It's so nice to hear this piece in a beautiful heartfelt context instead of as a silly novelty piece! Jake, if you're in Chicago ever and need acoustic bass, please hit me up! :) Regards, SSS
Watch a previously aired segment on Jake Shimabukuro on CBS Sunday Morning, September 22nd. Jake has performed numerous times in Washington and will be performing at the Paramount Theater in Seattle on April 26th, 2014. Highly recommend checking out Jake's story on PBS, very inspiring.
