@@classicchristianmusicarchive He should have been as great a star as Elvis, a much better singer. Guess it is because of the genre, other than the small time he did pop/rock. I never knew of him because I thought gospel music was church/twangy. I miss out for many many years!
Back in that day...there were many incredible voices. By today's standards...I have to agree. The only voice that even comes close to being that standard today, in my opinion, is Danny Gokey.
