I cut about 12 3 x 3 blocks from a 2 x 6; then sanded them smooth, glued two to each other for added hight for plywood support. Did the same for my lawn mower, cut four exact one inch 3 x 3 blocks to support the mower housing to level it exactly. I do this once a year as I do my spring tune up.

Build videos get MUCH fewer views than anything else I put out. This one is no exception. I try to do one to two build videos per month. But so long as people don't watch them, it's hard to justify putting so much time and money into a project. For example, as of this minute, this video has 36k views. Of the last 10 videos I have released, at the same amount of time since published (first 2 days), 7 of those have many more views. The top 3, 50k to 70k views in the first 2 days. and that view rate continues as the video is out longer. I don't expect (and is highly unlikely) that this one would be any different. Just a little insight into why there are fewer build videos on my channel (and many others for that matter).

I won't buy a tool that can't fit neatly away in the Shop/Garage it's all about the space! I watch more 731you-tubes than any other you-tubes because you are always trying new stuff... and you are very prolific with your videos... just finishing up a sewing station for my wife. Ok. I'm posting this, because you had asked for suggestions. :)
I got ahold of a (free) dresser set and would like to make a workbench out of it. Most youtube ideas I found were pretty old. I have the 6ft long dresser, and two bedside tables as well, I am trying to think of a way to possibly attach the two side tables to the back of the long dresser and maybe just have a place to scoot a chair or another larger item under the open space. I hope that makes sense. Anyway, I am newer to woodworking, but I love it! I can't afford to take out a mortgage for a few sheets of plywood and lumber to build one right now, so I'm hoping this will work.. lol Thanks, in advance for any help! :)

One suggestion, add a little piece of foam in the cutout area under your rules to keep em' from banging' down hard when you drop em' in ;-)

Next time, make the storage modular! Add French cleats to several locations like where you hang the clamps and such then the box can adapt overtime to your needs!
There are some neat ways I've seen to make locking French cleats so that if you hit a bump with the box everything doesn't jump off, that will be necessary in this application.

Very nice! Here's a power tip; Cut out a notch in the divider and locate the magnetic part of the "latch" in there. Then you can simply cut any flatbar stock and bolt it at the upper outer most part of the doors. No need to waste money on 2 kits! One is enough! :)

Great build and design Matt. Looking forward to seeing this cart in action during future build projects

Just a thought to address the handle interfering with your planer; you could cut your uprights for your handle at a 45 degree angle from the top of the cart towards the floor and then flip it end for end and dowel them back on, that way it would push the handle away from the planer and give you access to the hand wheel. OR, could you make a riser to sit under the planer to raise it above the handle? Just a couple of thoughts. I really like the design and will have to think about adding one of these to my shop this winter. Glad to see a build video from you again, you always spark ideas for build for my shop.

Can you make a small workbench that someone with just a circular saw, jig saw, drill, pocket hole tools and maybe a miter saw can build?? I need one about 24-28 wide and 20-22 deep. Don’t necessarily need drawers but maybe a shelf or two. And can support some weight. Everything I see is so big. This grandma would appreciate it!!!

Hola! 🖐What a really good video and awesome work cart.🤩I'm going back to watch your first work cart video, linked here at the end of this video. I'm sure I've watched it before but it will be a good contrast and compare to this current video. Take care and have a good one, Adios!👊

I saw your video of the new miter station, Have you thought of making a flip top stand for the Drill press and another tool, I see a lot of Planer / Drill press ones, might make it more convenient for your drill press situation. Nice work on this one. or a scissor lift so you can just slide it out and lift it up. There are some pretty cool ideas out there for this solution.
