Finally a video where the beginner exercice is actually for beginners! Thanks, I'll try your progression!
Alexia this was the best description on how to not use your arms and actually engage those back muscles in a pull up! Thank you for showing me the correct form so I can get more out of my workouts 🙌🏼
YES! This is exactly what has been missing in my journey toward pull-up proficiency. I have followed what I thought were good beginner programs and, in fact, am on one now. But, this tip on engaging back muscles is the missing link. Thank you!
This by far has been the best education on pull ups!! Outstanding
I have watched so many fitness models as motivation. But ive learned form and progression from you. at gym I'm constantly remembering your advice to get the most out of my workout. Thank you. Keep doing great work. love it!
I really like the second movement with the TRX band and going from a seated position into a pull up. I'm going to incorporate this with my clients. You're the best Alexia!
Wow this is so informative! I first saw you on Instagram but I love how you’re different from other fitness gurus because you’re actually trying to teach and help - instead of just posting your own progress. Definitely buying your guide after watching this! 🙌🏻
Negative Pull ups was what best worked for me. I knew those as walk the plank. Static hold helped me a lot too.
So clear, so straightforward, and zero promotional talk filled with buzzwords and fake technicalities ! Subscribed immediately
the best progression for a pull up i have seen so far.. thank you Alexia .. and i am watching all your workout routines, they are so motivating
I've seen several explanations and suggestions on how to progress to a pull up, but this one is the best one so far! Never would have thought about using a miniband on the ground! Thank you very much!
Incorporating these moves into my workouts! You're such an inspiration to me Alexia!
A beginner to the pull-ups here, this is the most helpful video I've searched so far. Huge thanks!

Awesome, I have a poor/weak shoulder due to previous injury. These ones will slowly introduce unthinkable pull ups
That's probably the best explanation and demonstration of good, solid progression that I've ever seen. Excellent work, keep up the good job.
This makes a ton of sense and starts at an easy enough level I feel like I could try it! Thanks!
(Ariel singing) "I don't know when.....I don't know how.......but I know something's starting right now......... Thanks Alexia. Your back is amazing and definitely an inspiration.

Thank you. You give great tutorials with great form.
Alexia, I just found your progression video and will be trying this one out and the pistol sqt one also at my gym - Training Zone. I am 50 yom 187lbs down from 203 in 6 weeks and have not been able to do pull ups for 20 years. This looks very promising. Thank you for posting it. :)
Wow - very clear and concise video. Thank you.
Great instruction Alexia, here's an additional tidbit for beginners. When I went into US Army boot camp, many years ago, many of the recurits could not do a single pull up. The method our drill instructors used was to have us do or attempt to do pull ups every time we passed a pull up bar. These things seemed to be around every corner. After 8 weeks most of us could knock out at least 10 and up to 20 pull ups so this method works pretty well.
Very good instructions. Thanks so much
Nice breakdown and progression! The GMB fitness pull up progression is another good one.
Thank you so much for this!
Very helpful. Hit a bit of a sticking point on pull up volume so going back to the beginning to improve and refocus on technique. Thank you
