  • Have you ever wondered how glass Christmas decorations are made? I was lucky enough to get to visit a small factory in Jablonec, Czech Republic where they STILL make these beautiful and delicate blown glass ornaments by hand.
See how the baubles start their life being blown from molten glass, before being coloured and decorated to become the sparkly finished pieces you use to decorate your tree.
I visited the Czech Republic on a bead tour with Jill Wiseman and it was a LOT of fun! Find out more about my adventures in the Czech Republic over on my blog. www.pinkhot.co...

Very true! You can tell that they know it so well they could probably do it in their sleep. I'm so looking forward to returning to CZ to see the glass making again in April!

This has to be very difficult work, hot, messy, painstaking, but what incredible beautiful things they create.

I used to buy beautiful Polish made Christmas ornaments for not much money from Eckerd’s drug store in the 70s. This is a wonderful video. TFS

This small factory is in the Liberec region in Czech Republic. If you search Czech Glass Tree Ornaments you will hopefully find some nice examples.
