For those wondering, she sang barefoot just a few days later when her and Toby performed "If I Were a Boy" at The London Palladium. This was more of an informal setting and, well, just look at the stage.
Fun Fact: She got stuck in a glue rat trap walking barefoot onto stage in NYC one time when she was younger. From what she said, it took them a bit to get her unstuck, lol.
That would have been one of the more interesting excuses for being late on stage 😂

The greatest of all time. I tell everyone that and some people who haven't heard her just shrugs it off like I'm crazy. I feel sorry for them for never listening to her. She is inspirational to me and I'm a 54-year-old metal head, lol. I love her like my own child as I've followed her a few years and occasionally have to listen to her when she was a little girl and was just as impressive. The sky is the limit for this angel.

Toby was putting together an album of his biggest hits but re-imagined using 'unknown' singers. He chose Angelina to sing, 'If I Were A Boy' that Toby introduced to Beyonce' 15 years ago. To say that Angelina took it and sang the song the way the song wanted to be sung in an understatement. That's like saying DaVinci could paint a bit. Then you come to this. As you can tell Toby loves this girl and her creativity. He said of Angelina, 'I had the best singer in the world sing this song (If I were A Boy) 15 years ago. Now I am having the best singer in the world that you haven't heard of yet, sing it now.' Angelina is getting ready to explode and this new material might just be the jump start she needs.
Barefoot is for official performances ,also she would be more dressed up this is Toby's gig not just AJ just so everyone knows , this is an unreleased song.. she will always be the Barefoot Goddess now we have upgraded her.💜💜💜👣💜💜💜

Nice reaction guys! Yeah, it's one of those real rare times where she had to wear shoes probably due to the venue's own rules/policies. The last time she had to wear shoes was when she attended the Le Bal in Paris, France as a Debutante and performer. Le Bal is one of the most prestigious balls in the world and she had to follow the rules of the venue and event. After her appearance with Toby here at the Jesse and Friends event in L.A., they both went to The Other Songs Event at the London Palladium where she sang If I Were A Boy and she was bare foot. As for the song Bad Valentine? HOLY COW! This is a great song and Angelina sang the heck out of it! With more original music on the way from them, we fans cannot wait! Oh, by the way, Angelina has a song that will be used for the NETFLIX movie called A Family Affair starring Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, and Joey King. We don't know what song she will be singing, but it definitely got everyone guessing. What a great opportunity for Angelina!

The instrumentation was just beautiful...love those strings. There are so many supers to this pre-release. A jazzy song and production that was meant for Angelina. Her voice, as usual, just amazing, finally letting 'er rip. Her belting here was otherworldly! Bodes well for the year, for her fans, for anyone who loves good music.
Angelina is the most remarkable young lady I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. And 'knowing' is a bit presumptuous on my part, someone who wishes they were that close to someone so special. But special she is, and she makes the latter days of my life so much better for it.

I love this song so much! The lyrics on the screen bother me, first to see the next line before she sings them, but then to miss one of the most soulful parts: ...I will mess up YOUR HEART... At least that's what I hear, just makes more sense. Rhymes with "the start."
People need to stop questioning about Angelina not being barefoot. She has told us she'll always sing barefoot when performing and we need to trust her when and why she doesn't.

In the US, if liquor is served in the establishment, it is illegal to be bare foot. I've seen her kick of her shoes in very cold, outdoor conditions.
At this point in Angelina's career her feet, voice and hair are more than likely insured. The surface she is standing on looks to be of a particle board which has a myriad of loose splintered wood. Angelina was more than likely convinced to wear shoes on the stage platform for safety and insurance reasons. After all, if she had simply just received a splinter in her foot/feet, it would have been costly to the venue.
