Thanks be to The Lord God for allowing me to see and listen to such a nice conversation from the two children of my two best brothers on the subject of Tewahido. Nahom and Gorgori may the blessings of God be up on you. Please continue teaching us and also others who are interested to know and understand the Orthodox Tewahido faith. God bless you both.
I never thought I could sit and watch a podcast this long- God Bless Dns! May God give you more wisdom to share with all of us, one of the things I felt bit hesistant on was the issue of Conformity vs uniformity! As I was coming to Church I was unaware of the many rules from how to dress to bigger laws and manners of conducting oneself-I remember I once went to church wearing skirt that showed from my legs up to my thighs once I sat down. I still remember the kindness of my spiritual father who didn't pressure me much but simply pointed out lightly about my skirt! I'm telling this experience to say that- traditions within the church like women dressing modestly etc are THERE for the our benefits, if we follow them we get Blessed- if we dont we also face consequences, our fathers made those rules because they knew it would be good for our soul. Hence, we should follow, respect, honor these traditions -but like my spiritual father did we should point out with LOVE and compassion for many of us come to church broken and in need of many healings! The youth should be taught the traditions and expected to grow into them slowly, but we shouldn't mock, humiliate and point out their shortcomings without compassion! I'm afraid that as we preach that conformity and uniformity is different we might give the idea that traditions aren't needed so we can decide for our own! Again, May the Blessing of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, the intercession, compassion and prayers of our Loving Mother Mariyam along side of the blessings and prayers of our saintly fathers and mothers he with us! Amen! Keep it up brothers!
