What a great build! I've watched dozens of port-a-band table builds...this is one of the best. There would be a huge market for just the pre-cut tops, what a beautiful set-up and shop you have.
I watched dozens of bandsaw table videos, but yours is the first I've seen with a pitch adjusting feature.
My first build is in wood, while I figure out what I want & don't want.
Wonder why no one (so far) has included a fence or cross cut guide .
Thanks for the great video.
Anyone who builds a table for a Portaband will love it and find it useful in ways they hadn't at first realized.Your paint job is attractive and protective but a raw, polished steel contact surface makes a better constant companion. And what about that little rectangular vent? How about notching the tab that indexes the top to the saw so it can still breathe? I use a strong spring clamp to control the switch. That works but gets annoying. The vertical arrangement I cobbled together several years ago needs two key improvements, a table at least 8 x 8 and a toggle for the on-off function.
Mil scale come off real easy with white vinegar. Soak it over night rinse with windex and a sos scrub pad..
I like the blue. I have painted most things in my shop the same blue. I found Tractor Supply has a 'New Ford Blue' that is about the same shade. They sell it in spray cans for $4.50 and gallon cans for ~$30. I tried out the spray can and it does well, haven't tried the gallon can yet, will buy some in the spring to paint a couple benches and cabinets.
thx, I will have to check it out
John, love your work and training videos. matter of fact years ago and based on your videos. I purchased a 2x2 tm table. unfortunately the table sits unused having cut just a single item. You are inspiring me to get back to it. you make it look so easy
Awesome build !!! Like this one best of all the ones I’ve seen made. Say have you ever thought about selling this as a kit? You know cut the pieces and box it up let us put it together. I Mean you got a awesome plasma cutter there, the top came out really awesome. Just saying. 🤪🤪🤪.
Nice work thank you for posting a great project
Looks pretty cool. Thanks for the fun. :-)
Sell these on eBay. I'll buy one. Most don't have access to cnc
Nice build ! How about that quick release cam link ?
My guess will be that saw will never come out of that and you will end up buying a second for portable use.
Nice table!.. what angle did you cut the legs?i like how they kick out.
I don't remember anymore, but probably around 4 or 5 degrees
Great build. Would you be able to share the file for the table top? I would like to cut one for mine,. Thanks
Nice build! Would you be willing to sell your DXF for the table top?
Willing to give it away (no warranty of course): theharmonfam.com/download/torchmate/Bandsaw%20table.dxf
